2020: Ensuring remote support
On June 5, 2020 the ABB company announced obtaining the contract for ensuring remote support of the gas carrier of the ice class "Christophe De Margeri" which transition across the Northern Sea Route (NSR) to the East for two months before normal, making run on delivery of gas of the project of Yamal LNG to China. The system of remote diagnostics of ABB allows to increase security and efficiency of the vessel.
The gas carrier Christophe De Margeri LNG will get remote round-the-clock support from a global network of the Centers of shared control of ABB Ability (Collaborative Operations Centers) now. Remote support and communication in combination with expanded data analysis, provided by the System of remote diagnostics of ABB Ability (ABB Ability Remote Diagnostics System), will increase safety of the vessel and efficiency of its work, and in case of fault will help to detect and eliminate it quickly.
The system of electric motion Azipod which equips the Christophe De Margeri gas carrier became an important factor of successful pass of the vessel on the route SMP in severe ice conditions.
