The IT company – the partner TopLog – in 2016 implemented the warehouse management system TopLog WMS on Soyuzsnab industrial complex.
The project on solution integration included automation of 15 distribution warehouses with different technologies of storage and completely updated once a month.
Prerequisites
Prior to cooperation in TopLog WMS implementation the majority of warehouses of the customer was equipped with stuffed racks because of limitation of the place for placement of goods. Warehouse processes were conducted using only paper technologies. Distribution of products in warehouses was carried out by a number of criteria: to a microclimate, type of the stored products, the commodity neighbourhood and other parameters. It approach did not exclude the fact of placement of several batches on one pallet or in a cell.
Project Progress
During work on automation of a warehouse complex of Soyuzsnab company by the management the decision on implementation of TopLog WMS without topology change and business processes of warehouses was made. The task to integrate a system with KISP and to integrate all warehouses in the uniform virtual center taking into account each object as separate unit was set for specialists of IT. This solution allowed to minimize amount of data for exchange between the WMS system and KISP. At the same time the condition about providing up-to-date information on work of all complex and all warehouse processes performed in it, in real time was complied. Integration of 2 systems is resulted by data exchange only about arrival and shipment in a virtual warehouse, and information on the movement of goods in physical warehouses is processed by TopLog WMS.
Project Results
Use of opportunities of TopLog WMS allowed to resolve a question of the automated distribution of raw materials by production sites taking into account individual parameters of finished goods and process requirements from client side. In warehouses end-to-end lot-based accounting was entered.
According to the results of cooperation on system implementation of management of a warehouse processes of acceptance, placement and movement of products are made using technology of barcoding, selection and shipment – on paper carrier. Further, if necessary, all warehouse transactions can be transferred to work with the shipping documentation due to introduction of a system of marking of the made goods by labels with barcodes.
