2021: Solvo.KPI Implementation
At the Container Terminal "St. Petersburg" (KTSP), as a result of the modernization of the Solvo.TOS system, which automates the logistics processes of the enterprise, the Solvo.KPI module was finalized and put into operation. Now the efficiency of the terminal's technological processes can be estimated by 54 indicators on all fronts: ship, railway, automobile, rear. The module will help the management of the KTSP to increase the transparency of all operations and activities, as well as reduce the time for making key management decisions. This was announced on April 23, 2021 by Solvo.
As of April 2021, the Solvo.TOS system has been operating at the Container Terminal St. Petersburg for more than ten years. Over the years of cooperation, a number of joint projects have been implemented - this is the introduction of a system for monitoring refrigerated containers based on Emerson Refcon, the launch of an intelligent queue of drivers at the terminal checkpoint for picking up imported containers, and much more. This time, the management of the CTSP set the task to ensure continuous monitoring of the performance of the terminal by key key indicators, as well as important business solutions.
Solvo.KPI complements and expands the capabilities of Solvo.TOS users in terms of analyzing and evaluating the performance of the logistics facility - now managers will be able to access a special interactive panel of key performance indicators, visualized using visual graphs and charts from any mobile device and computer through the Solvo.TOS WEB portal. Together with SOLVO specialists, 54 indicators were selected and configured, more than half of which were created specifically at the request of the client, taking into account the specifics of work in each section of the terminal.
The Solvo.KPI module, if connected to Solvo.TOS, does not require additional integrations into the existing infrastructure and additional maintenance costs. Also, one of the undeniable advantages of working with the SOLVO team is the possibility of deep customization of the basic product functionality to the requirements of the customer, which was done in this case - many of the main functions of the module were significantly revised as part of the implementation project.
Metrics for evaluating the performance of a number of leading European companies were taken as a basis.
The data in Solvo.KPI comes from the enterprise's accounting system to a special web-service, with the help of which the company's management quickly and safely gets access to all important information about the "life" of the terminal. After processing, the required data is displayed as convenient graphs and diagrams, which helps to more easily assess the results of the terminal work over a selected period of time: day, week, month or year.
A convenient and intuitive graphical interface helps to clearly compare indicators with previous periods, monitor the performance of individual employees, technicians and much more. Options for graphical display of results: graph, pie chart, histogram, table. The module supports the ability to export data to xls and pdf formats.
The Customizing capabilities allow you to visually compare port mechanization performance across key terminal fronts; personalize and castomize various indicators; Generate custom dashboards from available in the database and available for calculation. Customize the display of dashboards on the user screen (widgets, tabs, chart types) Edit the time period for the calculation of key figures Stylize color scheme objects (histograms, graphs, pie charts) and display tables Set up parameters for calculating key figure values through a table Configure the number of required tabs with scorecard groups on a single page, as well as multiple scorecards on a single tab.
Each user works in a module under their own account. All changes are saved automatically. Thus, stopping the program or browser does not cause loss of changes made. The availability of the indicators and functionality of the module for the user is determined by access rights. For example, a system administrator can prevent a user from editing key figures, restrict the visibility of some metrics, and so on.
