StarBlazer Tandem allows to use business applications of Mango Office in all territory of the Russian Federation

On February 24, 2014 Mango Telecom companies – the telecom operator and the Russian provider of virtual telephony and "cloud" business applications with the integrated telephony – and StarBlazer – the Russian provider of the satellite Internet for individuals and small business – announce completion of complex testing of technical compatibility of a line of "cloud" business applications of Mango Office (VATS, CRM and TsOV) and service of double-sided satellite broadband Internet access of StarBlazer Tandem. For the first time the technical capability of use of the most popular business applications in the Russian market appeared practically on a vseyterritoriya of the Russian Federation.

During testing specialists of the companies checked various options of connection of the subscriber using several satellites working in Ka-and Ku-ranges.

Testing was held on several models of stationary SIP telephones among which were as the devices, the most widespread among subscribers of Mango Telecom and novyemodet (based on Android OS). Further, test for compatibility with the satellite Internet of StarBlazer Tandem will be passed by all perspective and innovation subscriber devices – before their inclusion in a line of Mango Telecom.

Two most demanded codecs were checked: proprietary G.729 and open G.711 a-Law. The first – imposes the minimum requirements to bandwidth, and at the same time provides high quality of a sound. At the same time, not all devices have the built-in support of this codec, and when using many free softphones it should be purchased separately. This shortcoming the second tested codec which is supported practically by all hardware SIP telephones and softphones for the PC, tablets and smartphones is deprived. High-quality sale of this codec is available in each subscriber device which is switched on in a line of Mango Telecom.

The held testing showed that the service of StarBlazer Tandem ensures comfortable functioning of the user with all services of a line Mango Office. It concerns both load time of software, and voice transmission, and work in a personal account, and uses of the built-in information and analytical services. In the most critical test – at voice transmission – big bandwidth (and, respectively, big freedom in the choice of the codec) predictably was shown by the satellite working in the Ka-range. However he is more sensitive to kpogodny conditions. In the Ku-range the signal level is stabler, and weather conditions do not affect quality of Internet connection in any way. According to specialists of Mango Telecom, during tests SIP telephony worked very well. The communication quality is at the level allowing the enterprises to use comfortably telephony of Mango Office on a permanent basis.

Let's note that testing was held on the loaded network to which on the satellite Internet about 15 PCs were connected.

The technical capability of use of satellite last mile can be extremely useful to subscribers of Mango Telecom. So, the enterprises have a connectivity to a common information space of the territorial units which are in areas without land communications infrastructure (wire or cellular). Other scenario demanded in any regions – reservation of Internet access on a case of temporary failure of the main infrastructure of broadband access. At last, the linking of the virtual PBX (VATS) of Mango Office with the satellite Internet of StarBlazer Tandem can support work of specialists of a different profile and the working groups in a zone of natural disasters and emergencies.
