TD PSIwms

Company SOOO "TD of Instrumentkomplekt" implemented the warehouse management system PSIwms developed by PSI Logistics GmbH. Thanks to implementation of the company it was succeeded to optimize specific warehouse processes and to improve key indicators.

In a warehouse of 10,000 sq.m storage of a good selection of goods – about 15,000 names among which there are large-size and small-pieces positions is performed. With respect thereto, the warehouse has several storage areas and selection: storage a pallet on upper tiers of frontal racks, selection of pieces from shelf cells on the lower tier of frontal racks (it is broken into small cells); selection of pieces from shelf places of the different size in the four-storeyed mezzanine; storage and selection of oversized goods from a zone of floor storage. The warehouse executes shipment of orders for shipment at own expense in the mode to the day (1-3 hours on assembly of the order) and also performs shipment of orders with delivery regardless of order value next day that is especially important for e-commerce.

System implementation of PSIwms allowed to improve control of a commodity remaining balance and to reduce losses of goods in a warehouse. It became possible thanks to implementation of goods acceptance with radio terminals (including the postponed acceptance of containers with the big nomenclature of investments), processing of a krossdoking, assembly on radio terminals, to control and packaging of orders. It was succeeded to accelerate work of a warehouse regarding assembly of orders thanks to a multipiking and also simultaneous assembly of orders from two different warehouse platforms. Complete scanning of cargo places at shipment with the radio terminal increased the speed and correctness of shipment.
