2019: Creation of the robot for purchases

On August 12, 2019 it became known that in ROSATOM State Corporation created the robot for purchases. It is expected that he will accelerate process of accomplishment of purchases and will allow to minimize the probability of violations and abuses in this process.

"Process of purchases is strongly regulated, the procedure can last more than 6 months. The fuel company of Rosatom as subsidiary of state corporation participates in purchases under the 223rd federal law. There is a uniform industry standard of purchases, all operations procedure represents the unified process therefore it is possible to robotize and implement it elements of artificial intelligence that will allow to minimize a possibility of any violations or abuses, having made purchases more transparent and in addition less labor-consuming", noted Denis Kalashnikov, the head business prilozheniytoplivnoy TVEL companies

According to him, robots can look for the companies from which it is possible to purchase any goods.

"Roughly speaking, the robot comes on Yandex.Market, studies offers, does screenshots and saves them in a purchasing system of the company. On all found sources of the prices robots will request commercial offers from suppliers", noted Denis Kalashnikov, the head of business applications of TVEL Fuel company

The OCR system created on the basis of intellectual technologies of ABBYY processes offers and specifications, and then will transform and loads the data taken from them into the accounting system for the further analysis and decision-making.

"The robots created in TVEL can look for price sources and collect commercial offers only for rather simple commodity purchases. Robots cannot help yet with purchase of services as we have no uniform directory of services. For example, to find an implementation service in the company of artificial intelligence on Yandex.Market it will not turn out", noted Denis Kalashnikov, the head of business applications of TVEL Fuel company

In TVEL noted that the Fuel company makes more than 10 thousand purchases a year, and the staff of the specialists who are engaged in preparation of purchases makes about 180 people. The system of intellectual information processing will allow to reduce labor costs on formation of the starting maximum price of purchase by 16 times, and the average time of purchases will be reduced by 25%.

As of August, 2019 the pilot project on implementation of artificial intelligence and program robots purchasers in Fuel company already yields the first results: digital assistants find and correct errors in technical specifications on purchase and also look for sources of the prices, request and receive commercial offers from suppliers of goods, creating the starting maximum price of the agreement and the price analysis. At the same time they continuously study, become cleverer and useful. In opinion TVEL, potential of technology is high, the Fuel company is going to begin to use it for increase in efficiency and in other business processes.

Intellectual technologies are applied also in other tasks of the company. So, for increase in efficiency of operating activities of treasury the intelligent system for extraction of data from primary accounting documents on the basis of the ABBYY FlexiCapture platform and technologies of natural languag processing was created. A system scans and will recognize the structured and unstructured documents and takes from them necessary attributes which will be transferred to the accounting system for comparison of the received account with conditions of the relevant agreement. In 2021-2022 TVEL is going to reduce labor input of check of correctness of payment transactions by 67%.^[1]
