In May, 2016 TV channel 360 ° transferred a videoarchive to the cloud storage of virtual DPC (VTsOD) of Jet Infosystems company.

On the IaaS model the pool of DWH of 100 TB is provided and its further expansion is planned. Transition from the tape libraries used earlier to disk SATA drives allowed specialists 360 ° to get access to archive materials at the comparable cost of storage. For work with data the staff of TV channel directly from the desktop is connected to a virtual disk in VTsOD. At the same time access rights for them are differentiated.

The volume of video content grows promptly: the speech not only about quantitative, but also about qualitative indexes. For example, the movie in a modern HD format takes about 3 times more places, than in a former SD format, – Silayev Anton, the director of information technology of TV channel 360 ° told. – In search of model of the organization of a videoarchive optimal at the price and quality, we considered several options: storage on disk and tape storage modules, purchase and lease of storage systems. Calculation of a business case revealed that on all indicators the most profitable to us the solution – storage in VTsOD of a kompanii'infosistema Jett. For transfer of video files the channel with capacity of 1 Gbps is used. Physically data in VTSODE are located on several drives, however for users they represent a uniform pool of resources. The applied technologies allow to increase or reduce disk tanks and also to move data from one array on another when carrying out scheduled maintenance.
