On October 9, 2018 the Softline company reported that "Tafleks" passed to service model of use of the server hardware. According to the company, with assistance of provider of this service, Softline group, "Tafleks" received in the order one of productive servers in the market actually for the cost of monthly payment. Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) service within which sale of the server for "Tafleks" is implemented.
Tafleks LLC faced breakdown of the server on which there was an automated control system for the polygraphic enterprise Asystem. It was necessary to find in short terms capacities for system deployment, at the same time, the budget was not planned for purchase of the server. The customer was not ready to withdraw rather serious amount from circulation. Experts of Softline proposed the optimal in this case solution - to purchase the server on the Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) model. Within such approach the customer receives the desirable equipment in full and begins to use it from the first day of the contract on lease model, at the same time, after agreement term it has an opportunity to redeem "iron" for little money.
Besides, owing to smaller load of working capital the customer is able to afford more high-class equipment. For example, the Tafleks company purchased the HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 server in extremely productive configuration. Power of the server will allow the company to unroll in addition to the ERP system of Asystem on its base a number of additional business applications for which there was not enough performance of a former configuration of the equipment.
In HaaS option we received the modern server in the complete order at once and in short terms unrolled on it necessary for operation of application. On April 10, 2017 the Softline company announced rendering consulting services and transfer in a cloud of Softline of a 1C system of Tafleks company.
Project Tasks
Due to growth of the company and development of IT infrastructure the management planned updating of the server hardware for performance improvement of a 1C system. As the contractor selected Softline company.
The client needed the failsafe solution which is not requiring serious costs. Predesigns of optimization of local placement of a 1C system showed labor input and cost intensity of a task as the high-performance equipment, the special software, setup and support of technologies was required. Specialists of Softline suggested to transfer 1C to a cloud.
Project Progress
Initially we did not consider the possibility of transfer of 1C in a cloud, but specialists of Softline explained us advantages of such solution among which there is a lack of capital costs, scalability, availability, fault tolerance and security. We managed to perform migration in a cloud by own efforts, and the command of Softline always was in touch, quickly providing us consultations on the process course. Within migration the customer had difficulties with setup of the VPN channel. Specialists of Softline carried out necessary works and provided the protected corporate connection.
Project Results
The customer made a choice for benefit of the most optimal variant for the solution of the tasks. Transfer of 1C in a cloud allowed to avoid serious purchase costs of the equipment and provided fault tolerance. The cloud solution gives possibilities for minimization of expenses and flexible change of computing powers in case of growth of number of employees and expansion of business.
