Content

On March 14, 2014 the companies Takeda and "Jet Infosystems" made a joint statement on completion of creation of the local computer network (LCN) on pharmaceutical production Takeda in Yaroslavl.

Project Tasks

In 2009 the Board of Directors of the company made the decision on creation of modern pharmaceutical production in Yaroslavl. The project of creation of a LAN is begun at a stage of construction of production premises. The partner in the project defines Jet Infosystems company.

Project Progress

Experts of Jet Infosystems company prepared the LAN tekhnorabochy project according to the corporate standard of network equipment of the customer. At this stage also the detailed plan of interface a time LAN, by the used administration of the plant, with newly created is created.

Further specialists of the contractor performed installation, connection and setup of network equipment, including the IP telephony and points of Wi - Fi - access. The LAN architecture corresponds to the concept "a star with the double center": as a part of a core of network two switches united in a cluster by means of Cisco Virtual Switching System (VSS) technology. It helped to organize full redundancy of the equipment of a core of network and almost twice to increase performance.

"At design we used modularity thanks to what administration of network noticeably became simpler, opportunities for step-by-step accumulation of its performance extended, – Sergey Malyshev, the development director of network service of the Center of network solutions of Jet Infosystems company told. – Technology the network is ready to provide and automatically determine, depending on opportunities of the end devices connected to it, several levels of data transfer rate – 10/100/1000/10000 Mbps in each case".

The used active network equipment supports technologies Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet, protocols of management Telnet, SSH, SNMP, HTTP and has a number of opportunities regarding information security support. In particular allows to organize the virtual user groups which are completely isolated from each other, to block connection of users to the prohibited ports, to limit mailing of broadcast packets out of limits of VLAN, etc.

Project Results

"The computer network ensures productive functioning of all staff of the enterprise and also all laboratory, production equipment and has a possibility of further scaling taking into account increase in number of the connected ports, the increasing volume of the transmitted data with preserving of the high level of communication quality. In particular, technical characteristics on network allow to implement the latest services based on the IP telephony and a video conferencing", – Vyacheslav Komissarov, the senior IT manager Takeda noted.

For reliability augmentation as a part of a LAN the package of measures for common defense of the equipment is implemented. Among them creation of required conditions of placement and maintenance of the equipment, access restriction, protection against external influences, water penetrations, etc.
