2026: Automation of Repair Manufacturing in the Aviation Industry

On February 12, 2026, the Formula Group of Companies announced the successful completion of the process of automation of accounting for the full cycle of repair of aircraft wheels and brakes at Tekhkomgroup, having carried out the transition of this company from 1S:UPP to the 1C: ERP system.

According to the company, the specialists of the Formula Group faced the following tasks:

  • audit the current situation in Tekhkomgroup, based on the results of which to carry out the transition in this company from the outdated 1S:UPP program to the 1C:ERP system with the transfer of regulated accounting and all necessary documents to it;
  • automate management and production accounting by creating an automated workplace (AWS) in 1C:ERP, which covers the entire repair cycle from component acceptance to the execution of a universal transfer document (including accounting for subcontracting materials and components, planning and dispatching repairs, control of fault detection and production stages, cost and pricing management, formation of all closing documentation for the customer);
  • Launch planning, production, and implementation processes.

This project was implemented in two stages:

  • during the first stage, which took 2 months, the transition from "1S:UPP" to the "1C:ERP" system was carried out and the transfer of regulated accounting, all balances and necessary documents;
  • during the second stage, which took 4 months, the automation of management and production accounting, the introduction of AWS and the launch of planning, production and implementation processes were carried out.

The automated workplace (AWS), which was developed during the implementation of this project, is a specialized module in the 1C: ERP system that combines all key repair processes into a single digital chain: acceptance → planning → production → shipment → reporting.

The following results were achieved during the automation process at Tekhkomgroup:

  • a unified system of accounting for all orders and materials has been created;
  • a transparent process of working with subcontracting materials of the customer is organized: from receipt and storage to write-off to specific production operations, which excluded losses, confusion and discrepancies in the balances;
  • Planning and monitoring of repair works were implemented, which made it possible to reduce employee downtime and increase the predictability of loading;
  • complete traceability of materials and production processes, which made the control of the manufacturing stages accurate and operational;
  • cost and pricing management was established: it became possible to quickly calculate the cost, analyze the cost of repair work and form reasonable prices;
  • Optimized order processing in the system (approximately 2 times)
  • Reduced the number of manual operations
  • minimized the number of typical errors in the entry data and execution of documents;
  • automated generation of internal and client documentation, which reduced the time for preparation of documents and increased their accuracy;
  • increased transparency of interaction between production and accounting;
  • optimized control over the cost and profitability of repairs.

The users of the "1C:ERP" system in the company "Tekhkomgroup" were the heads of the enterprise, accounting department, supply department, production foremen and engineers, as well as managers of work with customers.

After implementation, the 1C:ERP system provided a significant economic effect at Tekhkomgroup by reducing order processing time, reducing labor costs and automating document flow.

Economic effect

The payback period of the project is about 3 months. Return on investment (ROI) - about 285% in the first year.

The project for the transition from "1S:UPP" to the "1C:ERP" system allowed Tekhkomgroup to move from disparate systems to a single digital process, where the entire cycle - from order acceptance to implementation - is carried out automatically, transparently and manageably. The investment paid off in less than 4 months, and the ERP system provides the company with stable savings and increased efficiency of business processes.

Thanks to the automation of the business processes of our enterprise, which was carried out by the specialists of the Formula Group of Companies, we received a unified system of accounting for all orders and materials, were able to almost halve the processing time of orders and minimize errors in data entry and paperwork. Automation has enabled us to take our customer experience to another level. For February 2025, we can guarantee the exact timing, transparency of all stages of repair and the correctness of closing documents.
