The Ekaterinburg subway is included into the three of the safest in Russia

The Microtest company implemented a video surveillance system in cars of trains of the subway of Yekaterinburg. The solution was implemented within the draft of "The comprehensive program of security of the population on transport" of the federal target program "Anti-terror".

For prevention and suppression of offenses the decision on creation of a video surveillance system in subway cars was made. The Microtest company proposed the technological and reliable solution meeting requirements of the customer to functionality and cost of a system.

In each structure of the Ekaterinburg subway about 16 video cameras in an anti-vandal casing are installed. Sectors of the overview are allowed to cover all area of the car. At the moment the image from cameras is displayed in a cabin of drivers. It is in the long term supposed to transfer video through a wireless channel to a control room of militia on protection of the subway.

Also specialists Microtest installed in each structure servers which volume is enough for storage of videos from all cameras of the train in 3 days. Data transmission from video cameras on the server is constructed using wireless technologies that excludes damage of communication channels at shift or maintenance of cars. All information from the server can be transferred to stationary storage at connection of the communication line or using the taken hard drive.

Besides, Microtest designed network infrastructure of a fiber line of communication, a stationary storage system for placement of archive of videos, the system of card access, protection of perimeter and video surveillance of depot, the system of a digital radio communication and the notification.

Thanks to video surveillance system implementation in the Ekaterinburg subway the possibility of control of a situation in cars and their fullness in rush hours is implemented. The staff of Department of Internal Affairs already uses videos at disclosure of crimes about thefts and hooliganism.
