1C-Rarus automated accounting at The International School of Moscow

2022: Automation of regulated accounting

On August 9, 2022, 1C-Rarus announced that it had automated The  International School of Moscow to maintain regulated accounting using the 1C-Rarus: Financial Management solution. The system is adapted to the peculiarities of the school's business processes and ensures accounting according to international standards.

According to the company, before the project  of the educational institution , the solution "1C: Enterprise Accounting" was used to maintain regulated accounting, accounting and reporting  under IFRS were implemented in a third-party configuration, spreadsheets were used for corporate accounting. Retail sales of school uniforms and other goods were conducted in 1C: Retail. The procurement coordination system was carried out on paper , which, if necessary, exchange between four locations created logistical problems.

The fragmentation of software products negatively affected the work of the customer's employees information it was stored  in various sources, paper documents were transferred from location to location for a long time, which did The processes of procurement , accounting, and labor-related reporting. To increase labor productivity, avoid paper document management in supply and treasury, the leadership of the International School decided to introduce another software product for accounting under RAS and IFRS. According to the results of the survey, 1C-Rarus experts proposed to automate the company's processes based on the 1C-Rarus: Financial Management product.

Project results:

•   In accordance with RAS  and IFRS accounting standards, parallel accounting of non-tax accounting is automated.
• The formation and submission of reports by both  Porossian  and international standards was ensured.
• A module has been developed for maintaining processes for recognition of revenues and expenses in international accounting.
• The configuration "1C-Rarus: Financial Management" has been finalized and adjusted to the peculiarities of the management processes of the International School in the field of Treasury to fully reflect the business processes of the school's procurement activities and their compliance with group policies.
• A configuration has been developed for uploading data  to the Nord Anglia Education corporate accounting, reporting and budgeting system.
•  On the basis of the budgeting subsystem in 1C-Rarus: Financial Management, a financial model was built and the solution was finalized in terms of calculating some types of budgets. As of August 2022, improvements continue in terms of tracking budget execution and forecasting.
• The 1C-Rarus: Financial Management configuration is integrated with the current 1C: Salary and Human Resources solutions and with   1C: Retail.

At the same time, we want to note not only the developers, and project managers, but also  the system administrators, whose competence is the key to the correct configuration of the infrastructure to ensure the performance of the solution, and therefore the productivity of our employees. Employees of the International School are confident that if calls appear in our work or requirements regarding international accounting, with the help of the contractor's developers, we will be able to quickly make changes to the configuration.
