The Kiev electrotechnical plant by "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management" added "1C:PDM"

The Kiev Electrotechnical plant which is turning out products under the RELS_S trademark brought into operation a management system for design documentation based on the solution "1C Enterprise 8. PDM Management of engineering data". System implementation and also its integration with the 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management configuration which is already used at the enterprise were performed by the Zaporizhia firm Use.

The plant exists since 1954 and now takes the leading place in the electrotechnical industry both in Ukraine, and in the CIS countries. Due to the increasing the product range (60 types of products in 1500 options of execution) the plant's management was faced the need of upgrade of all processes of preparation of a product for production.

Implementation of a PDM system had to provide online collective access to design-technology documentation within a common information space. Besides, it was going to support electronic archive of documentation and to automate all processes from creation of the specification of a new product before calculation of materials requirement for order fulfillment of the buyer.

In the project progress structures of reference books and specifications, the system of decimal numbering and other applied aspects were thought carefully over. In a PDM system the feature for import of data from the system of design of PCAD printed circuit boards was added and also the mechanism of electronic approval of changes in design-technology documentation is improved.

At a stage of preparation for commercial operation the management of the enterprise consciously refused automation of data transfer from the existing systems in new. Data were entered manually, and as a result, on the customer's utverzhleniye, at specialists steady skills of use of the software product were developed that actually replaced with it a training course.
