On June 5, 2019 the Mobile Medical Technologies company (manages Online Doctor service)  and Russian Post announced the cooperation directed to increase in availability of medical care in the remote localities of Russia.

Within the project in departments of Russian Post are established telemedicine complexes using which citizens will be able to get advice of the doctor on duty of the therapist within three minutes, repeated consultation after the internal visit to the doctor and also to carry out diagnostics — for example, to measure arterial blood pressure and to add data retrieveds to consultation with the doctor.

Implementation of a pilot project will begin with the Ulyanovsk region in July, 2019. About terms of availability of telemedicine in departments of Russian Post in other regions, it is not reported.

Earlier the deputy CEO of Russian Post for strategy and state  regulirovaniyuyaroslav Mandron  said that federal state unitary enterprise it is ready to join in project implementation of telemedicine throughout the country.

That tasks of telemedicine to solve from scratch, not less than 100 thousand doctors and health workers and at least 90 billion rubles will be required. Therefore  there is a question of remote channels. Concerning 29 million people living in rural areas there is not enough information. To bring "digit" to regions and to come into contacts with the population, there has to be someone who can offer such resources — he noted.[1]

In 2018 Russian Post started a pilot project on providing pre-medical medical services by mail carriers to the population. Employees of mail help physicians to care for health of Russians, conducting primary surveys and performing communication between citizens and medical institutions. Mail carriers bring drugs and products to elderly people, help to pay housing and communal services, render to lonely people simple psychological assistance.
