The IT upgraded a directory service in the Center of implementation "Leaked"

The IT company completed upgrade of a directory service of Microsoft Active Directory in the Center of implementation "LEAKED". During the project the stable and scalable system of the uniform directory of the enterprise which integrated the central office and 41 regional branches of the company was unrolled. Thanks to it 3 thousand users got convenient access to corporate information resources.

The center of implementation "LEAKED" — one of the largest distributors of pharmaceutical medicines and goods for beauty and health of Russia. TsV "PROCEEDED" performs the activity in all 83 subjects of the Russian Federation. The company has geographically distributed structure consisting of the main office in Moscow and 41 branch in the territory of the country.

Now about 3 thousand employees use IT resources of the company. The directory service of Microsoft Active Directory unrolled in the organization provides operability of all corporate information platforms and resources, including applications corporate group the politician and supports of the adjacent infrastructure systems serves for authentication of users and access isolation to resources: mail system, system of instant communications, workflow system.

By the beginning of 2011 in the company need of upgrade of the existing infrastructure and creation of a scalable, stable system of the uniform directory of the enterprise ripened. Within the project it was required to solve problems with authentication of users and with replication of data between directory service controllers in the different websites of the company, to delete the non-working domain from the Active Directory and also to organize use on regional platforms of domain controllers only for reading (Read Only Domain Controllers, RODC).

According to the results of the held competition by the contractor "LEAKED" selected the IT company having wide experience of project implementation on creation of management systems for IT infrastructure for the geographically distributed organizations. The solution of the following tasks was assigned to specialists of IT: updating of the version of a directory service (updating to Active Directory level 2008 R2), optimization of structure of a directory service, integration of a directory service with the unrolled services Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 and OCS, an exception of emergence of the errors connected with database replication of a directory service, authentication and registration in the zones DNS.

The project was implemented in three months. During this time specialists of IT booked audit of IT infrastructure of TsV "PROCEEDED" based on which they developed new architecture of a directory service taking into account optimization of principal components: structures of organizational divisions, group politician, websites and cross-site communications. At first implementation of the updated directory service was executed at the central office, and then the solution was replicated in all branches of the company.

In a project deliverable of upgrade of the Microsoft Active Directory Center of Implementation "LEAKED" received the stable and effectively managed directory service as fundamentals of corporate information policy. The uniform directory service is constructed by the hierarchical principle and provides centralized operation with infrastructure of the distributed divisions. It allows to work with certain user groups and computers, including in a standardized way to set and update software, to configure working environments of users and specific server parameters.

The IT company provided training of staff of IT service of the customer and within a year will perform technical support of the updated IT infrastructure.
