The government of the Moscow region will block to officials mass Internet services

Since October, 2015 the government of the Moscow region is going to enter technical access lock of staff of regional departments from jobs to cloud services of exchange of documents and messages from the Internet companies, Maksut Shadayev, the Moscow region minister of a state administration, IT and communication told TAdviser.

Blocking, according to him, will be entered within the actions plan approved by the governor on transition to use of the domestic software and Internet services of the Russian companies, he added.

"We see that in the market there are domestic protected solutions for solving of tasks of message exchange and documents in corporate and state sectors, similar on functionality to products for mass market", - Shadayev added.

As of August, 2015 in the Moscow region the pilot project on transfer of staff of regional departments to a single platform of message exchange, including, from mobile devices in which the means of cryptographic protection licensed by FSB of the Russian Federation are used is implemented, the minister says.

Also Moscow region began transfer of staff of bodies of local government to use of a single system of message exchange of e-mail.

Maksut Shadayev announced the planned transition of the government of the Moscow region to the protected Internet services


"The protected platforms - a real alternative to mass services for the organization of corporate communication. The organization of information exchange between users (a voice, video, correspondence) through safe network, without use of third-party and uncontrollable intermediary servers on the Internet, will exclude a possibility of interception of confidential information", - Shadayev is sure.

The Security Council criticizes regional officials for use of foreign Internet services

Shadayev's declaration of transition to the protected messaging solutions was made on the same day, as the statement of the former head of FSB, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolay Patrushev who criticized regional officials for conducting working correspondence in the unprotected foreign Internet services.

"Staff of bodies of the government of Khabarovsk Krai used possibilities of a number of foreign information and telecommunication services, such as Google, Yahoo, WhatsApp and others. It is a system question for all Russia, but in the Far East it is particularly acute" — Patrushev[1] said[1].
