2019: The agreement on cooperation in the field of implementation of virtual reality in educational process

JSC TERRA TEH, subsidiary company of Russian Space Systems holding, and the Russian technology university (RTU of MIREA) signed on August 28, 2019 the agreement on cooperation in the development areas and implementations of geoinformation solutions and products in scientific and educational process and project research.

In particular, the parties agreed about use of the platform of virtual reality ATLAS VR developed "the TERRA of THOSE" for professional orientation work with school students entrants and conducting scientific and project activity of students and teachers of the university.

In professional orientation actions the Russian ATLAS VR VR platform representing processes and the phenomena in the form of three-dimensional models and allowing to provzaimodeystvovat with them with high effect of presence will be used. As expected, it will allow entrants to create a better understanding about future profession.

Our development of ATLAS VR is intended to help children with early professional orientation. Experience of stay in virtual reality gives to seniors the chance "try on" on itself this or that profession and understand as far as it suits them. The functionality and possibilities of the VR platform allow to visualize in 3D - a format not only knowledge of Earth based on space pictures that is traditionally demanded at faculty of cartography and geoinformatics, but also can be applied in educational and scientific activity by other faculties MOUTHS MIREA, for example, of construction, biotechnologies, design, management and economy — the CEO "the TERRA of THOSE" of Milan Elerdov commented on an event.

As noted, the Russian technology university actively develops the directions connected with early career guidance of school students of 14-17 years with the purpose to motivate children to select hi-tech, knowledge-intensive specialty – the cartographer, the surveyor, the specialist in the field of space monitoring of Earth and GIS and also such professions as the specialist of technosphere safety, innovatics, business information science, etc.

It is supposed, cooperation "the TERRA of THOSE" and the Russian technology university (RTU of MIREA) in a part career guidance of work with pupils will promote the solution of a problem of the direction of qualified personnel in the advanced and knowledge-intensive industries of production, economy, especially relevant in view of transition, to a digital format.
