The institution noted that the priority direction of the electronic library is local history. It presents a variety of materials on history, culture, literature, geography, the formation of Tomsk, Tomsk region (province) and other regions of Siberia. These are digital copies of books, newspapers, magazines, articles, maps, manuscripts, materials, etc. The goal is to create a digital full-text resource of the Tomsk region, and the new large-format ElarScan will help replenish the electronic library with new A1 + materials. ElarScan A1-600KS is designed for quick and convenient digitization of books, drawings, maps, newspapers, magazines, posters, paintings, thick sheets weighing up to 50 kg, a variety of text and graphic documents. Library experts note that the presence of a V-shaped motorized cradle with a variable opening angle allows you to carefully scan book monuments and other books from a rare library fund with incomplete disclosure, guaranteeing the safety of publications with dilapidated sheets. The scanner provides excellent digital copy quality with an optical resolution of 300-800 dpi.

Employees of the Pushkinka electronic library department have already received training in working with equipment, which means that very soon everything that will be digitized on this equipment will become available to all readers, the institution's website says.
