Toyo Engineering purchased licenses of two CAD systems

On May 31, 2015 it became known of purchase of licenses of software solutions of Intergraph company by the Japanese engineering corporation Toyo Engineering. Solutions will be used within the large-scale project on building of installation of steam cracking in Malaysia^[1].

Project Tasks

The project - a part of the program of construction and development of a complex of oil and chemical processing. By a preliminary estimate the complex will make processing of 300 thousand oil barrels a day. Total power of a complex with the enterprises for processing and production of different oil products, including high-grade polymers and synthetic rubber, will be 7.7 million tons per year. Estimating complexity and scale of the project, the corporation made the decision on use of two solutions of Intergraph:

• Intergraph Smart 3D, solution for three-dimensional design. Possibilities of data transfer between the MDR projects (Model Data Reuse) allow not just to transfer parts of the project, but to flexibly alter the transferred data under the set rules, meeting requirements of the final project. It is the complex approach to design allowing to work in real time with the uniform integrated information model, but not with separate data, documents and drawings.

• SmartPlant Materials is the solution which is completely supporting standards of purchase management in the petrochemical industry. It offers functionality for integrated management of process of construction of the enterprise that means management of contract organizations.
