2016

The largest enterprise "Tractor Plants concern, one of world leaders in production of the heavy bulldozer and break and pipelaying machinery – JSC Promtraktor – completed in the fall of 2016 the first stage of industrial automation based on "PARUS – Enterprise 8".

The information system solves problems of production planning, accounting of the made parts and production logistics in JSC Promtraktor. She also expects the production program of crews a month, the need for purchased materials, cost value of products. By the principle "one window" all information on accomplishment of the production program is also clearly provided in a system accurately.

At the second stage of the project it is going to automate the job order cost accounting, purchase planning, operational scheduling at the shop level and also preparation of electronic passports of a product. Thanks to automation it will be possible to reach decrease in level of work in progress to two-month requirement.

"JSC Promtraktor is capable to make about 50 pieces of equipment, and in general the products have up to 500 modifications. The enterprise of such scale can hardly effectively work without full-fledged ERP system. The platform PARUS provides the enterprise with all necessary functionality of the ERP level as automates both financial and economic, and production processes", – Evgeny Gavrilov, the Head of the Moscow Department of Information Technology "Tractor Plants concern emphasizes.

Earlier in JSC Promtraktor based on software "PARUS" accounting and HR records, payroll, an inventory control and purchases were automated. Work in a common information space allows to configure end-to-end processes with single data entry in a system, for example, accounting transactions form automatically on the basis of production and logistic data.

It should be noted that according to the agreement between "Tractor Plants concern and PARUS a system PARUS for automation of financial and economic activity is used, in addition to JSC Promtraktor, and other large manufacturing enterprises of holding: JSC Kurganmashzavod, Trans-Ural Forge Foundry LLC, Promtraktor-Promlit LLC, JSC Cheboksary Modular Plant.

For fall of 2016 nearly 2500 licenses for software "PARUS-Enterprise 8" on model of internal SaaS (Software as a Service) are applied.

2013

The Tractor Plants concern switches to an information system PARUS on model of "internal SaaS" (Software as a Service), the press service of the enterprise reported on February 4, 2013. The agreement allowing the centralized access of the enterprises of industrial group to the single database software "PARUS 8" of holding is signed.

Command

As a result of implementation, services softwares become available to JSC Promtraktor, Promtraktor-Promlit LLC, JSC Cheboksary Modular Plant, JSC Kurganmashzavod, Trans-Ural Forge Foundry LLC. The Inform Standard group which is engaged in maintenance and development of information systems and IT infrastructures of concern acts as the operator of providing service.

Within this IT model leading enterprises of Tractor plants will have an opportunity of operational redistribution of licenses between internal users on the basis of transaction volume indicators. At the existing scale of use of the IC "PARUS" in industrial group (about 1500 licenses) it allows to reduce significantly the cost of ownership of the solution and its service.

For February 4, 2013 the License provided to Tractor plants includes applications for management of all basic processes of financial and economic activity:

  • management of finance;
  • personnel;
  • purchases,
  • warehouse and implementation;
  • motor transport;
  • maintenance and repairs;
  • accounting;
  • payroll and also modules for planning and accounting in production and project managements.

Fedor Dryamin, the director of Inform Standard Group emphasized: "Use of a system PARUS allows us not only to fully automate accounting and managerial problems of large production sites "Tractor Plants concern, but also to organize the most cost-efficient model of the IT system thanks to high rates of scalability and system performance".

2007

Maxim Lavrov, the deputy CEO for the financial company performance Promtraktor entering into concern told that two years ago at the enterprise a set of separate software products, both own development, and purchased functioned. All these systems were poorly integrated among themselves therefore a part of information had to be duplicated several times, and process of aggregation of data represented laborious manual work. Data often were outdated and contradictory that complicated interaction between divisions. Problems of planning and scheduling of production which had job order character were the most difficult, and the products had more than 50 modifications.

These problems led to awareness of need of creation of a common information space as platforms for complex automation of the enterprise. During the choice of a management system domestic and foreign developments were considered. Systems capabilities of 1C belonging to the lowest price segment were recognized insufficient. "Heavy" foreign ERP systems, such as Baan, Oracle e-Business Suite and SAP R/3, were unavailable at cost. As a result the choice was performed between software products of average price range to which were carried Parus, Galaktika, Microsoft Dynamics AX and OneWorld from JDEdwards (Oracle). A final choice was made for benefit of a system Parus as its functionality corresponded to production processes of the enterprise, and as DBMS Oracle on which some applications which are already working at the enterprise therefore integration between them could be performed with the smallest costs were written was used.

Automation of activity of the company is decided to begin not with production, and with financial and economic activity. Maxim Lavrov explained this solution with two reasons. First, the implemented system should be integrated with the available programs. As production interacts practically with all divisions, integration should be carried out with the greatest number of the diverse systems that was a task uncommon and almost not solvable in visible terms. The extreme complexity of production process became the second argument, and was decided to begin mastering of a new system, going "from simple to difficult".

For the purpose of cost reduction on the project of automation it was decided to attract to system implementation of own specialists as much as possible. However absolutely without the assistance of consultants it was not succeeded to manage. All labor costs of the project are estimated at 128 man-monthes. 14% of this time were spent on the description of business processes, 70% belong to specialists of Promtraktor, and only 16% - to third-party consultants. However 52% of the funds allocated for the project were spent for payment for the services of consultants. 40% of finance costs made software licenses, 2% for the description of business processes, 3% for completion of functionality and 3% were made by motivational fund. In total the project cost the enterprise 9 million rubles.

Preproject inspection which included inspection of an object and the description of business processes "as is", took 1.5 months. Engineering design, i.e. training of a command, a system design and business processes "as will be", 2.5 months lasted. Trial and trial operation took 3 months. After that productive use of the ERP system began.

During implementation of the ERP system all business processes adjoining to the automated sections were reviewed. Many of them were optimized. According to the director of Center ITIAS of Promtraktor Alexey Golovin, at the enterprise 21 processes were selected, in process separate roles were concretized. It was decided that the principles of MRP do not correspond to the rules of "lean" production followed at the plant. Besides, at some plants, including on "ChAZe", it was required to implement the sliding planning. Therefore it was decided to be guided by the principles of TPS, in particular the principle of "pulling" (kanban).

In a system about 500 users from services of sales, supply, the chief financial officer, managements of economy, the chief mechanical engineer, instrumental economy and from accounting work. Automated management of finance, purchases, labor resources, maintenance and repairs. Next year control automation will come to the end with sales. Effective management of the movement Inventories which nomenclature makes about 58,000 names is provided. The economic service keeps operational accounting by the centers of the financial responsibility and cost items. The budget of cash flow is created in full in real time.

During the software project Parus had to be integrated with other applications which are used on Promtraktor – TechnologICS, Production Network, Notes/Domino and other special systems.

Since 2005 in a system Parus works the Promtraktor plant, since 2006 - the Promtraktor-Promlit and ChAZ plants belonging to concern, and since 2007 is going to extend a system to Kurganmashzavod and "Chetra-Promyshlennye of the machine". In total 12 industrial platforms should be as a result automated.
