At the beginning of February, 2020 the SIMBA Chain company signed the contract with the center of arms of the Navies for $9.5 million to unroll the protected messaging platform and transactions on the basis of a blockchain.
US Navy signed the 5-year agreement on cooperation with SIMBA Chain after successfully executed previous order. Earlier the blockchain company was created by model of the decentralized messaging platform and transactions on the basis of requirements of the Ministry of Defence and provided the working prototype. Now it will be a question of commercialization and full-scale implementation of the platform.
The U.S. Department of Defense investigates long ago a blockchain and other technologies which can guarantee safety of communication. SIMBA Chain offers the cloud smart contract as the service platform which will be used by NAVWAR, the system of command and management of navy.
The project includes different applications on the basis of a blockchain, beginning from safe message exchange, tracking of a supply chain and logistics before financial transactions. The purpose consists in providing a safe and reliable communication between partners on sea and aircrafts. Finally it allows to exchange data and also to confirm information source.
SIMBA Chain works with the Defense Ministries of the USA long ago. The company was founded in 2017 after the DARPA awarded a grant to computing department of the ITAMCO university. In 2019 the U.S. Air Force signed the contract with SIMBA for development of a blockchain for tracking of production of parts of airplanes.
In January, 2020 SIMBA Chain attracted financing in the amount of $1.5 million from funds Pit Road, Elevate Ventures, First Source Capital and other private investors.[1]
