On April 21, 2021, it became known that Russia by the end of this month the world's first production of agricultural equipment with autopilot installed at the plant will begin. We are talking about the use of an AI autonomous control system on the Cognitive Agro Pilot KZS-1218 Desna-Polesie GS12 combine harvester manufactured by "."Bryanskselmash

Andrei Shilin, Chief Engineer - Deputy General Director for Production of Bryanskselmash JSC, said that large-scale field tests of Cognitive Agro Pilot at Desna-Polesie combines were held in 2020 in Russia and Belarus. Based on the results of these tests, it was decided to mass-equip the equipment with autopilot.

Olga Uskova, CEO of Cognitive Pilot, noted that due to the fact that the world's first serial agricultural robots equipped with "the world's best Russian artificial intelligence" will leave the assembly line, Bryanskselmash receives a "significant application" to expand market share in Russia and abroad.

According to the developers, the Cognitive Agro Pilot system allows:

  • reduce the duration of harvesting work to an average of 25%;
  • reduce direct crop losses from 8 to 13%;
  • reduce fuel consumption during retraction up to 5%
  • increase the daily production of the machine operator to 25%.

It is noted that Rosagroleasing included Cognitive Pilot in the list of its suppliers, so agro-households-clients will be able to purchase Bryanskselmash robotics on preferential, favorable terms. So the cost of Bryanskselmash combines for Rosagroleasing customers with a discount from the supplier is from 5.8 to 14.5 million rubles.[1]
