VBH Holding AG moved ERP to the Russian DPC

On November 3, 2016 the company IT-Grad announced the project of transfer ERP Axapta of concern FAUBEKH (VBH) in IaaS- a cloud of provider.

Project Tasks

Within several years the company used a foreign cloud and got the centralized support, but with a release in September, 2015 of the law which obliged to store personal data in the territory of the Russian Federation, there was a need of transfer of data in the Russian cloud.

It was required to organize a cloud service in the territory of Russia, by the principle of the operating foreign cloud of holding, to place on it ERP- the solution Microsoft Dynamics Axapta 2009.

The foreign cloud service used earlier was acceptable and convenient. Therefore decided to organize something similar and in the territory of Russia. For these purposes selected service provider – the IT-GRAD company became it. The provider offered the acceptable cost, good data center which, by the way, is located near us. I will note that the proximity of DPC to office of the company is one of priority conditions as the possibility of operational hit on the platform in case of need was required. The DPC was pleasant to us, everything in it is rather well implemented and executed according to the European standards. Our choice was estimated also by the German colleagues. As a result we moved here and still we continue to use the selected solution. Such option suits us on a class of reliability and infrastructure. As equipment of local DPC of VBH did not correspond to conditions for maintenance of the basis for data and a computing environment, the company entrusted delivery of services to provider from Russia. To select provider, held the tender.

We selected IT-GRAD, met the supplier, discussed parts, went to data center and signed the cooperation agreement. Today the core of the company is concentrated in the cloud located in the St. Petersburg data center. The cloud service is used by the staff of branches across Russia from Murmansk to Krasnodar. Project Results

Transition to a cloud did not cause difficulties. The only thing, at a stage of implementation there were nuances connected with a lack of resources. Having connected additional processor capacities and having selected other type of the carrier, this problem managed to be solved. From the moment of transition to a cloud and till today the service placed in a cloud of IT-GRAD works regularly, coping with the available loadings. Sergei Ivanov
