2020: Upgrade and scaling of the VDI system

On December 14, 2020 IT- the company "Croc" announced that it upgraded and scaled the system of virtual desktops (VDI) "Irkutsk Oil Company (IOC)". The updated infrastructure based on VMware Horizon provided the 3D command - designers with remote workstations with high performance graphic applications. The solution increased level information security, having protected from loss confidential data and unauthorized access to them.

The complex project assumed audit and updating of data on the available VDI infrastructure. As a result the current system of virtual desktops was updated to the current version. Then scaling of infrastructure for turning on in it of 80 workstations for 3D - designers of the company was executed. Considering that this professional category works with high performance graphic applications, setup of servers of virtualization was made for operation of graphic accelerators and profiles of graphic cards.

For December, 2020 places of designers of Irkutsk Oil Company completely meet the requirements of business in the field of mobility, performance and information security. All information is stored in data center of the company and not taken out out of limits of safe perimeter. The applied IT solutions allow to get quick access to resource-intensive applications 3D - developer without binding to office that considerably increases convenience of work.

Besides, the solution transfers administration of IT infrastructure to other level and helps to cut down maintenance expenses of workstations. So, virtualization allowed to optimize high-performance jobs.
