2020: Automation of process for optimization of work with tenders

VSK Insurance House together with the developer of insurance IT- solutions on a basis artificial intelligence the company Mains Lab on September 16, 2020 announced a project startup on workflow automation according to tenders in the field of voluntary medical insurance (VHI).

Each insurance company almost daily participates in tenders of different clients for the choice of the VHI optimal program. For large insurance companies the number of tenders for participation in which it prepares documents, is calculated by several hundred a month, and dozens of employees are involved in process. The main volume of labor costs are the share of processing of unstructured information. According to poll top-10 insurance companies which Mains Lab carried out in October, 2019 specialists in tenders of these companies spend for processing and standardization of data to a third of time: reduction of any format of the tender in a standard type, search and identification of those clinics with which the insurance company has agreements.

Mains Lab applied the approach used by search systems to work with unstructured information. Correction of typos, accounting of synonyms and historicities in names of clinics, adaptation of the addresses, permanent after-training on new tender requests – all this allowed to achieve nearly 100% of quality of recognition that as a result will allow to reduce significantly the term of preparation of tenders, so, to provide to clients optimal conditions of service within VHI.

Increase in number of tenders in which the company will be able to take active part, and reduction of terms of reply to the requests of clients will become key result of this project. It will allow us to do the offers on the VHI programs which were more adapted for needs of specific corporate clients, - the Deputy CEO for health insurance of VSK Oleg Vitko commented.

Many insurance companies develop own IT solutions, however seriously the little managed to promote. Thanks to cooperation with the VSK insurance company we managed to confirm our hypotheses on large volumes of data, to receive positive result and to continue development of service, - the CEO of Mains Lab Yury Kuvshinov noted.
