Technoserv won a 430-million contract of VTB
On June 24, 2019 it became known that Technoserv won a 430-million contract of VTB for delivery of servers of domestic development of Yadro.
The agreement with integrator for the specified amount of VTB signed on June 13, 2019 according to the results of open request for proposals electronically with the starting price of lot of 433.8 million rubles. The tender was announced on May 6.
Rivals of Technoserv proposed Krastk in 431.8 million rubles and I-Teco with the offer in 430.3 million rubles. At the same time the price criterion had only 50% of specific weight at assessment of requests. The remained 50% concerned qualification of participants of a procurement procedure. By this criterion all three companies got the highest points therefore the victory of Technoserv was defined as a result by the price of services.
In the technical project it was said that all goods should be delivered in divisions of VTB on Perovskoye Highway and in Dnepropetrovsky Drive in Moscow within 40 days from the moment of agreement signature. However in its card on the website of state procurements for its executions it is registered on September 5, 2019.
As stated in the tender documentation, a subject of purchase of VTB is "iron" of Yadro company on the basis of Power microarchitecture under management operating system AIX. Acquisition of the equipment is performed for expansion of computing powers of the existing cluster computing systems of bank of the same configuration.
For the Yadro Power complex existing in VTB the customer needed "adding and use of mobile main cores and mobile RAM in PEP (Power Enterprise Pool) of the equipment Yadro.
According to the specification, Technoserv will transfer to bank two P1-80A Yadro servers, each of which turns on on four processor modules Power 8 with 40 cores and with a frequency of 4.19 GHz and also on 24 sets from four modules of memory of 64 GB of DDR4 on 1600 MHz and 256 GB.
Besides, the integrator should provide to VTB the certificate on expanded round-the-clock technical support of the specified P1-80A Yadro servers for a period of five years.
The P1-80A model is stated by the developer as the server of the corporate level with a possibility of horizontal and vertical scaling of computing resources.
Delivery of the Yadro servers to 434 million rubles
On May 6, 2019 the Bank VTB announced request for proposals on delivery of the server hardware of the company Yadro on the basis of microarchitecture Power under management operating system AIX. The initial cost of the contract is 433.8 million rubles.
Delivery of the new equipment is carried out for the purpose of expansion of computing powers of the existing cluster computing systems. Purchased "iron" is expansion of a resource for the existing Yadro Power complex.
The bank needs 2 sets of the equipment as a part of the Power8 server and a mounting cabinet 42U. The server should be equipped with 40-core processor modules of 4.19 GHz, 24 solid state drives of 775 GB of SAS and 24 sets of modules of memory of DDR4 of 256 GB. In addition the certificate should be transferred to the customer to expanded technical support 24х7 of 5 years.
All goods should be delivered within 40 working days from signature date of the agreement. Guaranty period for the server hardware should make not less than 60 months from signature date of the consignment note.
The supplier will be selected on June 14, 2019[1].
2016: Delivery of the Yadro servers to 1.7 billion rubles
On December 28, 2016 the VTB bank summed up the Dutch auction results on purchase of servers of the Russian assembly of the Yadro trademark.[2].
Applications for participation in a procurement procedure were submitted by four companies - SSV Group, "Technoprogress", Inline Group and Stepinform. All offers were allowed prior to a Dutch auction based on which the Technoprogress company was recognized the winner. It offered the lowest cost of the contract - 1.736 billion rubles that is 131 million rubles lower than the starting price. The delivery agreement was signed on December 29, 2016.
Within delivery the bank will receive 16 sets of the equipment, including 7 sets of the P1-80A servers, 7 sets of mounting cabinets and other components.
The P1-80A model is servers of the corporate level with a possibility of horizontal and vertical scaling of computing resources. Within delivery servers based on four 48-core POWER8 processors with clock rate of 4 GHz should be provided to bank. Servers should have 8 TB RAM (32 sets of modules of memory on 256 GB) and to incorporate more than 9 TB of a fixed memory (24 solid state drives on 387 GB).
All equipment should be supplied once within 50 days from signature date of the agreement.
Let's remind that the Yadro servers gather KNS Group company (TM Yadro) created in 2014. Yadro is the first OEM partner of IBM in Russia certified on component assembly of servers based on Power processors and also storage systems. Production capacities of the enterprise are located in Shuya of the Ivanovo region.
Earlier also announced interest in Yadro products in Sberbank and in Sozvezdiye concern.
