2004: How candidate statuses accelerated the selection process
What they faced
One of the main functions of e-staff for the agency is the candidate status system, initially there was a need to optimize their use:
- Without a single status policy, there was confusion and a slowdown.
- Recruiters used statuses in different ways, which prevented them from seeing the big picture.
- Statuses like "Interview took place" turned out to be finite in the candidate's card and had to fall into the candidate's card in order to understand what they stopped at with this particular candidate, which slowed down the process and could lead to the loss of candidates.
What did you do?
All statuses were divided into process (for example, "Customer Resume," "Interview Planned") and finish ("Offer Accepted," "Candidate Rejected"). Process statuses are now limited in time - the period of one day, except for those that cannot be influenced. Short-term statuses that do not lead to action are excluded.
Added integration with the calendar: Interview Planned statuses are displayed, which helps not to miss important actions. Implemented automatic reminders to speed up the process.
New statuses have appeared, for example, "Recommendation taken," which helps to expand the candidate base. The status "Not matching profile" allows you to reserve candidates for future vacancies.
Results
Processes have become more transparent: now it is easier to track the stages of selection and make decisions. Recruiters have reduced waiting times thanks to personalized statuses, which has accelerated job closures.
