2021: Completion of the second phase of spool metering subsystem implementation
The Edith Pro Group of Companies on April 19, 2021 announced the completion of the second stage of the implementation of the subsystem for accounting for the production and installation of its own development spools at Velesstroy-SMU LLC. The IT solution on the 1C: ERP Construction Organization Management 2 platform will allow the company to keep an operational record of materials and finished products of spulas, as well as make their production process completely transparent.
Velesstroy-SMU LLC is part of the Velesstroy group of companies, one of the representatives of the Russian construction market in the oil and gas industry, industrial and civil construction, EPC contracts and design. Production of enlarged pipe blanks ("spools") is an integral technological part of the process of welding and installation works performed by the company on the projects.
For a long time, the company kept records of materials, determining the front of work, tracking the process of manufacturing spulas at all technological stages manually. In order to increase the efficiency of this process and ensure compliance with the requirements of the legislation and internal standards of Velesstroy, it was decided to automate it.
During the project, a single automated system "Spool Production" based on "1C: ERP Construction Organization Management 2" was developed and implemented. It is designed for operational accounting of materials and output products, as well as tracking all stages of spool production: from receiving design materials to issuing a finished spool to the installation site.
In addition, Edith Pro has created a mobile application to improve the convenience and efficiency of employees.
Due to the introduction of the "Spool Production" subsystem, it was possible to improve the quality and speed up the processing of these production processes, as well as reduce the timing of production as-built documentation. Moreover, Velesstroy-SMU achieved a reduction in the number of employees involved in the production process, was able to monitor their daily load and instantly generate the necessary reports.
In the future, this will allow Velesstroy-SMU to also reduce the cost of the wage fund. Finally, due to timely and accurate accounting of the entire manufacturing process, the company can resolve disputes with representatives of the general contractor and the customer.

As of April 2021, the system is operated during construction and installation work at the Amur Gas Processing Plant. The total number of users supported by the IT solution is more than 100. Before the start of operation of the system, remote training of Velesstroy-SMU employees was carried out.
The introduction of the Spool Production subsystem allowed us to create a single IT environment within the company and form a "single version of the truth."
