Gazprom selected service provider of technical support of the American backup

Gazprom inform, the subsidiary service IT company of Gazprom performing complex service of users and maintenance of information systems and IT infrastructure of the largest Russian gas company, on rendering services and execution of works on support of the software of Veritas (the former division of Symantec)^[1] summed up on September 2, 2016 the results of open request for proposals].

Within purchase the customer is going to receive technical support services of client and server solutions for backup and data recovery of NetBackup and also solutions for management of InfoScale data storage. Besides, services of maintenance should be rendered for the ApplicationHA tools (the solution on ensuring high availability of the most important applications in virtual environments), OpsCenter Analytics (software for management of backup) and Replicator (the platform for continuous replication of data on the basis of IP networks).

The total number of the licenses specified in documentation which require support makes 2358. Services should be rendered from the date of signing of the contract till June 30, 2017 taking into account accomplishment of the compulsory provision of continuity of technical support of software according to the global policy of manufacturing company.

The starting price of purchase was 150.7 million rubles. The victory in the trade procedure was won by Gazprom avtomatizatsiya company which reduced the price of the contract for 100 thousand rubles.
