The Russian developer and the producer of the systems of a video conferencing Videoport provided to the operator of water supply of UK ROSVODOKANAL LLC the license to use within a year of the program VideoPort VCS server for holding meetings in the mode of video conferences. The solution VideoPort VCS will allow the staff of regional divisions of "ROSVODOKANALA" to carry out group video conferences with participation to 50 representatives of the company.

The solution of a task of scaling of the existing system of a video conferencing (VIDEOCONFERENCING) and integration of the Avaya IP PBX (the S8300 media server, the gateway G450) of the customer in network of the VideoPort VCS system became feature of the project on the organization of corporate network of video conference "ROSVODOKANALA". For this purpose each terminal was equipped with the hardware and software system VideoPort Gateway H.323/SIP providing carrying out personal and group video conferences between users of the devices working under the H.323/SIP protocol and client VideoPort VCS terminals.

"Implementation of VideoPort VCS allowed to cut down expenses on long-distance negotiations, to hold meetings more productively, to reduce time of holding of conferences by one and a half times, to provide training of employees at their jobs and to reduce the number of production business trips, – Chernenko Pyotr, the director of IT department of UK "ROSVODOKANAL" comments on cooperation. – Further we want to equip with video surveillance systems repair crews for the purpose of transfer of operational information about the state of affairs on abnormal sections to operators of the situational centers. At the same time to provide an opportunity to broadcast the image to specific specialists in "ROSVODOKANALE" for adoption of timely decisions without departure on the place of accident and for control of work. Also thanks to development of mobile clients there is an opportunity to minimize equipment expenses and to use normal mobile phones with cameras".

The uniqueness of the first program server of a video conferencing of VideoPort VCS created by the Russian developer consists in an opportunity to integrate hardware solutions in the VideoPort system and also to carry out video conferences between 250 far off the located participants – users of the video server. In the company the technical support service which answers questions of users concerning VideoPort VCS system operation works. Specialists of service advise clients by phone, and in need of the solution of difficult questions attract as consultants of system developers and project managers.

The VideoPort VCS system, version 3.1, provides to specialists of ROSVODOKANALA territorial subdivisions from Barnaul, Kaluga, Krasnodar, Omsk, Orenburg, Tver and Tyumen broad functionality. Namely allows to hold symmetric conferences during which up to 16 participants see, hear each other and can work on documents jointly. Besides, it is possible to hold conference calls with participation of all divisions, to write video conferences, to show the presentations in the PowerPoint format, to show the screen of the computer of the main speaker during a video call or group video conference of any type, to exchange instant text messages between all connected users of the video server, to exchange files of any type in the course of a video call.
