X-Com scaled the information system of the Volgodonsk Engineering and Technical Institute. X-Com announced this on May 24, 2024.

Volgodonsk Engineering and Technical Institute is a branch of the federal state autonomous educational institution of higher education "National Research Nuclear University" MEPhI "(VITI NRNU MEPhI). To launch training programs for nuclear engineers and specialists in the field of electrical and thermal energy, the customer needed to equip a number of classrooms with computers.

The contractor of the X-Com project was the result of a victory in an open tender, the participants of which were Russian system integrators, computer manufacturers and hardware suppliers. When considering competitive applications, along with the price proposal, the experience of candidates in the implementation of similar projects for state educational institutions in terms of volume and complexity was assessed. X-Com confirmed the project experience by providing letters of recommendation from major universities and research centers in the country, and received the right to conclude a state contract.

X-Com engineers conducted an audit of the customer's information system, including server hardware, client systems, and network infrastructure, and analyzed the computer requirements of the software used in the training process. Based on the obtained data, detailed equipment specifications were compiled and a technical design for its implementation was developed.

Specifically for this project, the X-Com manufacturing division manufactured and supplied dozens of computers that exactly meet customer requirements. Thus, it was possible to ensure the best price-performance ratio of the solution. All equipment is integrated into the information system of the institute, commissioning and testing are performed. Computers are combined into a local network, and student actions are monitored from the workplaces of teachers. The project was implemented in strict accordance with the contractual conditions in terms of scope and terms.
