2023: Building Ultra-Fast Stations

Electric buses in Volgograd are charged at the ultra-fast stations of the Sitronics Electro operator. Sitronics announced this on December 15, 2023.

The charging infrastructure in the region was built by Sitronics Electro (part of the Sitronics Group) as part of the national project "Safe Quality Roads," approved by the Government of the Russian Federation.

In Volgograd, all 16 electric buses entered the route connecting the Kirovsky district with the Central. The city received them as part of a targeted irrevocable subsidy allocated to the municipality from the federal budget within the framework of the national project "Safe Quality Roads."

Three single-dome charging stations are installed in the trolleybus depot of the Kirovsky district. Another charging station of the "park" version - with six domes for simultaneous charging of six electric buses and with an even distribution of power along them - is located in the trolleybus depot of the Krasnooktyabrsky district.

The power of each charging station is 300 kW. The technology allows the electric bus to charge up to 80 percent in 15 minutes. It is enough for the driver to drive up to the station and connect with a pantograph to the charging dome without leaving the cab.

Operator Sitronics Electro has extensive experience in building electric charging infrastructure in Moscow - the company has already built stations for three electric bus parks in Moscow, where about 500 electric buses can be charged at the same time. In different cities of Russia, we participate in projects within the framework of federal programs aimed at the development of urban electric transport, "said Armen Safaryan, Advisor to the President of Sitronics Group.

The operator also developed a unified charging infrastructure management system. The program distributes power between charging stations, and also allows you to monitor the state of each station in real time and quickly control technological processes - draw up a schedule for charging an electric bus, receive reports on electricity consumption and conduct online monitoring of the network.

In total, in 2023, as part of the federal program for updating urban electric transport, the company installs and launches more than 50 charging stations for electric buses in 9 cities of Russia.
