The CROC Volga region integrator completed the project of upgrade of IT infrastructure of the Pavlovsk machine-building plant "Voskhod" creation of failsafe and flexible IT infrastructure implementing solution on the VMware vSphere platform and the newest developments of leading manufacturers of high-tech solutions and the equipment, the press service of the company reported on August 28, 2013.

Project Background

Active business development demanded a certain level of fault tolerance of IT infrastructure which could not provide the available park of the equipment "to PMZ "Voskhod". Before the enterprise there was a problem of its upgrade. As the contractor selected CROC Volga region system integrator.

Project Progress

Set the task - to reduce a downtime of the server hardware of the plant at machine or program failure from one hour to several minutes for CROC Volga region.

Having booked complex audit of the available IT infrastructure, specialists of CROC Volga region created the project model of a failsafe IT system with a scaling option in process of business development assuming partial use of the existing equipment, purchase, integration of new equipment rooms and software tools.

"We developed the complete solution which is based on implementation of fault tolerance of IT infrastructure as at the level of the equipment, and means of the software. Deployment of virtual infrastructure will be made by forces of IT service of the customer on the VMware vSphere 5 platform", – Alexander Chelebayev, the Head of the Moscow Department of Information Technology of CROC Volga region noted.

Project equipment

Specialists of CROC Volga region performed delivery, installation and integration of servers of new generation of HP of ProLiant DL320e Gen8, a storage system of EMC VNX 5300 and other necessary equipment with the existing hardware "PMZ "Voskhod".

The fault tolerance at the level of the equipment is implemented thanks to the duplicated components (reserve controllers, power supplies, RAID groups on a storage system, the duplicated links, ESXi hosts).
