Project Progress
Before one of the largest producers of metallurgical products — the problem of increase in efficiency of work with documents by optimization and automation of the existing document flow processes rose United Metallurgical Company (UMC) — in 2013. The company started implementation of electronic document management at the enterprises.
As IT solution the product of WSS-Consulting company — the WSS Docs system was selected. When choosing experiment of the contractor on implementation of electronic document management in the large companies, system performance measures, its reliability and convenience of the interface which from the first address to a system is clear to any user were considered.
As a result of joint work business processes of the enterprises entering into OMK group were analyzed and the solutions allowing to consider features of each enterprise and a wish of users are designed.
Project Results
Project implementation allowed to increase the speed of consideration of documents and to strengthen processes of control of performing discipline. Among the main results of implementation in OMK note creation of a common information space for all companies of group; implementation of 32 document types both for basic processes of office-work, and for specialized application processes of the company. A system was implemented in eight different cities of Russia where there is OMK (Moscow, Vyksa, Chusova, Chelyabinsk, Blagoveshchensk, Almetyevsk, Vladimir, Ufa), in the shortest possible time. From the moment of start of the project before its end there passed less than 10 months. Processing of documents at the main enterprises of group became uniform regardless of their geographic location, time expenditure was reduced by document handling and also the possibility of joint work more than 5.5 thousand users daily, creation more than 5 thousand cards of documents of different type a day is provided.

We implemented a single system of electronic document management for all companies of group. Created a common information space. In the project progress reengineering and optimization of the existing processes of document flow of the company was made, they were given to uniformity. Considerably terms of transfer and document handling between geographically distributed divisions decreased that is extremely important for the company with the distributed structure. Heads note that time of approval of documents was reduced several times. |
