2023: EME.WMS Implementation

The company EME has completed a project to automate the warehouse of the official distributor construction machinery XCMG in. Russia

XCMG is one of China's largest manufacturing holdings. The company ranks 3rd in the world in the production of construction equipment and 1st among the 100 advanced Chinese engineering enterprises.

The warehouse of the official representative of the Chinese concern in Russia is located in Moscow.

The warehouse area stores and processes spare parts for construction equipment for delivery to dealerships. Due to the increase in the range of products supplied and the growth in sales volumes, the company had a need to expand warehouse space.

The new distribution center consists of two sites - a street area, which houses large equipment and spare parts and an indoor warehouse with a 3-level mezzanine for small goods.

To achieve the maximum efficiency of the complex, a decision was made to automate the indoor warehouse.

As a result of the competitive selection, the EME.WMS system was chosen. Important for the customer was the compliance of the system functionality with the project objectives, the ability to install additional modules, as well as the cost of the system. The key choice factor was EME's 30 years of experience in developing logistics automation systems. Also, one of the necessary conditions was the clear implementation of the project implementation deadlines.

During the project, the main warehouse business processes were automated: acceptance, shipment, inventory, return, write-off, characteristic changes, intra-warehouse movements.

Integration with the corporate system of customer 1C was carried out in two stages. At the first stage, the receipt and transmission of messages about the item number, their arrival and shipment were set up. The second stage was carried out after the system was launched and consisted of setting up the reception and transmission of messages about the inventory of goods, the return of goods from the buyer, the write-off of goods and changes in characteristics.

Thanks to the system implementation methodology developed at EME, the project was implemented in one month. The deadlines specified by the customer were met.

EME has selected and supplied specialized equipment for the warehouse. The project uses data collection terminals shipping documentation Chipher RK25 on the Android platform, Goodex G500 printers.

EME specialists conducted training for warehouse employees, organized system support after launch. Now the warehouse is on the technical support of the integrator.
