2019: Regular power supply of the equipment using solutions of ABB

On July 24, 2019 the ABB company announced delivery of a system of high-speed automatic input of back supply (BAVR) for ZapSibNeftekhim LLC. The solution provided reliable and regular power supply of important technology equipment within an object "Installation of production of compressed air and nitrogen". The system of high-speed automatic input of back supply of production of ABB was installed in a short time and without production idle time.

A few years ago the ABB company performed delivery of the UniGear ZS1 complete distributor (CD) for ZapSibNeftekhim within an object "Installation of production of compressed air and nitrogen". After a while after input of installation in operation, by the accumulated experience of failures of power supply of a power line, the management of the enterprise made the decision to carry out upgrade of automatic equipment of input of a reserve source of earlier delivered feeding distributor of the medium voltage (RU SN) of AVV.

In this direction specialists of ABB proposed the solution on integration of a system of high-speed automatic input of back supply into RU SN operated by the customer for prevention of interruption of technology processes of the enterprise at failures of power supply. The complexity of such solution was that the additional hardware needed to be integrated into the existing distributor at its short-term stop for routine maintenance. At the same time there was a need to add microprocessor monitoring devices of quality of power supply and the main device of sale of the BAVR most automatic equipment, to execute complete joint check of operability of all systems of automatic equipment, to finish works in the mildest terms. For implementation of such difficult task of work on preparation of the BAVR system began long before time of a planned stop of the equipment of the customer: BAVR automatic equipment algorithms were developed for this object, the specification of the necessary equipment, the scheme for integration of automatic equipment into the existing RU. Specialists of ABB within this project performed all necessary works on delivery, installation, check and start in system operation of BAVR, and all this at the operating enterprise.

The continuity of a production cycle of the enterprise caused short terms of equipment installation: on installation, adjustment and check only 4 days were allotted.

"Criteria of success of upgrade were simple: ensure reliable functioning of automatic equipment for the minimum time. It is easy to check result of system operation of BAVR: it is enough to interrupt power supply of one of inputs and to be convinced that automatic equipment will switch consumers to other input without interruption of production process at the enterprise. Right after the commissioning we tested — everything passed successfully: technology processes were not interrupted when switching power supply, and switching was executed for the 100-th fractions of a second. According to the results of implementation if on one of inputs on the platform ZapSibNeftekhim a power supply is gone, technology consumers will be automatically switched to other feeding input and production process will not be interrupted",

The system of high-speed automatic input of a reserve ABB SUE 3000 can be used everywhere where failures in supply of electricity can lead to termination of work of technology equipment and to become the reason of considerable expenses or serious accident.

In case of failure in power supply the BAVR ABB system ensures further functioning of all connected consumers, quickly and safely switching them to back supply taking into account different physical factors.

According to the statement of ABB, SUE 3000 is the universal system customized individually for each consumer. This system can be installed at the enterprises and objects of a different profile, and it is ready to provide reliability of power supply of a broad spectrum of the equipment.
