Contract with Lithuania for the supply of missiles for air defense for €320 million over 6 years
The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense signed a contract with the Swedish company SAAB for €320 million for the supply of Bolide missiles for RBS-70 air defense systems. Deliveries will go on for six years, said to be "uninterrupted."
The contract includes missiles capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to nine kilometers and penetrating armor 200 millimeters thick. The Lithuanian air defense battalion is already equipped with RBS-70. They are easy to maintain, mobile.
The republic has previously purchased MSHORAD mobile air defense systems from the company for €119 million, and also Carl-Gustaf M4 and AT4 grenade launchers, ammunition for them. Hundreds of millions go to SAAB. There are contracts with Americans, Finns, Poles.
Contract with Colombia for the supply of 17 fighters for $3.6 billion to 2032
The government Colombia on November 13, 2025 signed a contract with the Swedish company Saab to buy fighters.
The agreement in the amount of $3.6 billion involves the supply of 17 Gripen E/F aircraft until 2032, as well as the modernization of the infrastructure of air bases, logistics and training support. The Swedes, in turn, pledged to invest in non-defense industries in Colombia.
Despite an attempt by the US administration to force the Colombian leadership to purchase outdated American F-16s, Bogota still settled on Swedish-made fighters.
Interestingly, the Americans wanted to wreck the deal by banning the export of General Electric engines that are on Swedish planes. But Saab said that everything is in order with the supply licenses and there are no obstacles.
