2022: All Russian airlines switched to domestic booking systems after the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine

All 53 Russian airlines switched to domestic booking systems, as reported by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation on November 1, 2022. The department stressed that thanks to such import substitution, information security and protection of personal data of passengers and crews, independence of passenger traffic from foreign systems, possible failures and outages are ensured. 2019: Medvedev ordered the developers of ticket booking systems to transfer the data of Russians to servers in the Russian Federation

2018: Key USS capabilities

On November 26, 2018, TAIS presented the capabilities of the National Reservation System (NSB) for the aviation industry.

Digitalization of the industry and the development of online sales lead to a cheaper and simplified distribution process, providing additional opportunities for the airline to optimize costs. In these conditions, the flexible, host-oriented architecture of the USS meets the most current trends in aviation distribution and allows airlines to dynamically develop online sales.

Modern airlines seek to build direct sales in an online environment in order to reduce distribution costs. The national reservation system allows you to solve this problem. So, thanks to the decision of the NSB, UTair was able to increase the share of online sales from 15 to 42%, - cited the example of Alexander Sizintsev, Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance of TAIS.

According to the developers, the National Reservation System, created on the basis of the TAIS PSS solution, is an active participant in the international aviation industry thanks to full integration with all global and local distribution systems, including Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport and Travelsky.

As Alexander Sizintsev specified, the NSB has implemented more than 70 interlines with international air carriers, as well as dozens of codscher agreements - both block and free sale. Taking into account these capabilities, NSB allows both Russian and foreign airlines to serve equally efficiently: NSB operators at the moment are already such carriers as Atlas Global and IsrAir. At the same time, the refinement of the functionality for the interaction of airlines within the framework of international aviation alliances can be carried out at the request of airlines if there is a specific order.

NSS is a successfully functioning PSS (Passenger Service Systems, passenger service system - approx. TAdviser), which has proven its effectiveness in working with Russian and foreign carriers.
