Cellular communication (market of Tajikistan)

In Tajikistan the number of users of mobile communication decreased almost by 2.5 million (22%) and for the beginning of 2017 was 8.7 million subscribers.

The Tajik cellular operators state reduction of number of subscribers in 2016 for 22%. If in 2015 11.2 million residents of the country used services of mobile operators, then last year the number of subscribers was 8.7 million^[1].

It is noted as well decrease by 800 thousand number of active users. If for the beginning of 2016 of like those there were 5.2 million, then already for the beginning of 2017 a little more than 4.4 million active subscribers are recorded. According to the Communication service of Tajikistan, the number of Internet users also was reduced by 400 thousand for the last year (taking into account mobile access). For the beginning of 2017 in the republic more than 2.6 million subscribers have Internet access (including mobile)

Among five cellular operators in the republic Tcell is considered the leader, its share in the market of communication makes 34.5% of number of subscribers, Megafon (TT Mobile) has 26.4%, at "Babylon Mobile" – 20.9%, at Beeline ("They") are 17.7% and "Shopping mall Mobile" have 0.5%.
