According to the analytical report Unitrade Group, sales of mobile terminals (phones, smartphones and communicators) in Ukraine in the 1st half-year 2009 made 1.82 million devices that is 53.3% less in comparison with the same period of last year.

In terms of money falling of the market was 69.8%. In the 1st half-year 2008 market size was $752.8 million, in the same period of 2009 – $227.5 million. The average cost of the sold phone for the reporting period was $125 that is $68 less, than in the 1st half-year 2008.

According to Unitrade Group, in 2008 the 2nd quarter showed 10 percent recession in relation to the 1st quarter. "This year after a failure in April sales for May-June began to show positive trends that cannot but please.

According to preliminary forecasts, in the 2nd half-year we expect growth of sales amounts. The market of the 2nd half-year will be 30-35% more than the first", - Nikolay Kolomoyets, the head of department of external analytics of Unitrade Group comments.

According to forecasts of Unitrade, in 2009 about 4 million mobile terminals for the amount of $540 million will be sold in the market of Ukraine. The size of the market of the repleysment which in previous years was 60-70% considerably will decrease. The profile of buyers will be made by budget models, specialists predict.
