KBP of Shipunov: key IT projects for the base "the Industries 4.0"
Gleb Gogolenko, the director of the department of information technologies of KBP of the academician A.G. Shipunov told about the key directions of informatization of the enterprise.
KBP - one of leading enterprises of defense industry of Russia. Tell, please, about features of its work and types of activity.
Gleb Gogolenko: KBP of the academician A.G. Shipunov is a part of Rostec Group, being one of the main enterprises of JSC NPO Vysokotochnye kompleksy holding. Primary activity of holding is a development and delivery of final samples of precision weapons, its spare parts and component parts for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and other law enforcement agencies and also within programs of military and technical cooperation with foreign countries.
Last year KBP was performed 90 years from the date of the basis. For all history of the enterprise by collective it was developed, mastered in serial production and more than 150 samples of arms and military equipment are handed over on arms of the Russian army. Now the enterprise is the powerful research and production center creating the systems of modern precision weapons. The technical solutions put in developments of KBP contain more than 6000 inventions.
KBP is a head developer during creation of difficult samples of arms and coordinates work of a large number of the enterprises and organizations, including institutes of Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation and Scientific Research Institute Russian Defense Ministry therefore for operating control of key productive and economic indicators and management of production processes, it is important to create unified information environment of business processes of the enterprise and to adjust end-to-end automation.
What main problems and tasks face department of information technologies? Whether your activity is connected with resource management of the enterprise?
Gleb Gogolenko: The department solves all range of the problems connected with IT at the enterprise: beginning from infrastructure and finishing with implementation of hi-tech software for business process automation of the enterprise. Respectively, our activity is directly connected with resource management of the enterprise which cannot be executed without information systems, plus to it all computing resources are under administration of department.
Last year the program of informatization in which the priority IT projects directed to achievement of the delivered business objectives of the holding company are designated and which include was adopted: production planning automation, upgrade of a system of design-technology preparation of production, a number of projects on IT infrastructure. Also the program includes creation of a system of an after-sale service of products of the enterprise. The word "system" is meant as all list of business challenges, and not just implementation of the corresponding IT tools.
What IT solutions were selected for implementation of these tasks and why?
Gleb Gogolenko: During the choice of IT solutions we as state enterprise, we are guided by the relevant Federal Laws and consider proposed solutions on a competitive basis by a number of criteria. For the direction of automation of productive activity we selected the Russian solutions of Galaktika corporation, the including 3 systems: a management system for production processes – Galaktika AMM, a management system for financial and economic activity "Galaktika ERP", a management system for production assets – "Galaktika EAM". Trial operation of these solutions is at the moment complete and we started replication on all relevant divisions of the enterprise. The project is unique the fact that based on the industrial platform a large number of systems (engineering, financial and production software) is integrated into a common information space.
In IT infrastructure we select solutions on the principle of compatibility with earlier constructed solutions not to generate additional costs on alteration.
Whether assessment of cost efficiency of the implemented IT solutions is applied in KBP whether there are corresponding target indicators?
Gleb Gogolenko: At start of each project the procedure of its analysis from the point of view of the functional customer and including according to the feasibility statement is carried out (according to GOST 24.202). IT solutions can bring an economic benefit regarding optimization of use of resources of the enterprise and business process automation, and without functional customer it cannot be defined. As for key performance indicators, initial estimates for each of projects are used.
There are small projects in which the department of IT acts as the functional customer, and ourselves can estimate economic effect. For example, an implementation project of the centralized printing on high-performance devices instead of local printing on personal printers.
As KBP is structure with branches, tell about model of use of information systems: uniform and centralized or autonomous and distributed?
Gleb Gogolenko: Our enterprise and our branches have an old story (so, TsKIB branch was founded in 1946), respectively development of information support developed taking into account the course of historical structure formation of the enterprise. At the moment we carry out gradation from the local systems of level of divisions and the enterprise level to centralized systems for joint work of several enterprises. In these projects the question of information security support as the level of protection of networks is different at the different enterprises is very important and accurate control over an information access is necessary.
Respectively, we see target model on the horizon of the adopted program of informatization which implementation is planned till 2020 as symbiosis of the centralized and local systems between which information exchange is provided with a hi-tech integration bus.
What further development plans for automation systems of management processes?
Gleb Gogolenko: Digitalization of production processes is one of key activities of department and on the near-term outlook till 2020 we should complete key projects on all lifecycle of our products: since process automation of design-technology preparation of production, further automation of production planning and accomplishment of production orders, including interaction of interfactory cooperation and completing process automation of an after-sale service.
In these directions we already have considerable practices and the created solutions. According to at us in production: "backlogs" are created, but a lot of work on building of an end-to-end chain of transfer and storage of data on a product on all its lifecycle is necessary. In general, quite most part of efforts of department is directed to creation of digital production. Finally, our major task – to come to the digital double of each copy of a product and digital model of production in general.
We on own example were convinced that in Russia there is a competitive software as on functional characteristics, and performance which allows to solve practically all complex of problems of management of the OPK large enterprise.
