2025: In the Novosibirsk region, the Safe City system was deployed for 300 million rubles, to which thousands of city cameras are connected
In December 2025, the Ministry of Digital Industry of the Novosibirsk Region provided information on investments in the Safe City system. From 2023 to 2025, 300 million rubles were allocated for the installation of video cameras within the framework of this project in the region.
According to the regional Ministry of Ministry of Digital Development, in three years the camera fleet has more than doubled. In 2023, 2.1 thousand devices were connected to the system, in 2024 - an additional 1.8 thousand, in 2025 - more than 400. According to the ministry, the annual financing for the development of the Safe City hardware and software complex (APK) is about 100 million rubles.
In theThe Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Novosibirsk Region, Sergei Tsukar, said that since the beginning of 2025, the system has made it possible to detain more than 2.5 thousand offenders. Tsukar also noted: despite the smaller number of cameras compared to Moscow and St. Petersburg, the monthly detention rates in the region are comparable to those in the capital.
According to Zukar, video analytics of the system is used for other tasks. Cameras and recorders do not transport help to assess the condition of roads, identify defects and quickly correct them.
The minister said that artificial intelligence technologies are also being introduced in the healthcare sector of the Novosibirsk region. The regional system of medical images is integrated with the MosMedII platform for analyzing computer tomograms of the brain. According to Sergei Tsukar, since June 2025, more than 100 images have been analyzed with the help of MosMedII, 36 pathologies have been identified.
According to Sergei Tsukar, as part of the development of digital infrastructure in the region, a program is also being implemented to eliminate digital inequality. The Minister said that in 2025, 52 settlements were connected to the Internet and mobile communications; by the end of 2026, it is planned to cover the remaining 14.[1][2]
