2025: The Russian Federation has developed a technology for the production of ceramic powder for prostheses of the hip and knee joints

Russian scientists of the Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU) have created a technology for the synthesis of high-quality submicron powder for the production of medical ceramics using domestic raw materials, which will reduce the country's critical dependence on imported supplies of ceramic components for hip and knee joint endoprostheses. The development is carried out within the framework of the Competence Center of the National Technological Initiative in the direction of "Technologies for modeling and development of new functional materials with specified properties" on the basis of Novosibirsk State University with financial support from the NTI Fund.
