Agreement with Rostelecom to develop IT and communications

PJSC Rostelecom and JSC Development Corporation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) have concluded an agreement on the intention of cooperation in order to develop information technologies and communications. The document was signed by Afanasy Savvin, General Director of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and Valery Yermakov, Senior Vice President for Corporate and State Segments of Rostelecom . This was announced by Rostelecom on September 3, 2021.

The parties plan to hold events, create joint commissions and working groups, as well as exchange information in order to introduce telecommunications and digital services when implementing investment projects of the corporation.

The development of any industry cannot be imagined without the introduction of digital technologies. I am sure that the competencies and capabilities of Rostelecom will help us in the implementation of our investment projects, including the construction of the Zhatai shipyard and the creative cluster of the Labor Quarter, "said Afanasy Savvin, General Director of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

Directions for September 2021:

• Investments in non-resource sector projects.
  • Direct investment, including through joint investment platforms with federal funds. When implementing joint projects with large Russian and international investors, the Corporation acts as a representative of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

• Implementation of key projects that contribute to the development of the non-resource sector.
  • The Corporation acts both as a change agent, implementing joint initiatives with industry stakeholders, and as an operator of projects that have a systemic impact on the development of the entire non-resource sector.

• Formation and development of priority development territories.
  • Together with KLDV JSC and private partners, the Corporation manages the territories of advanced development in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), and assists in the development of their residents.
