2024: Putin increases FSO central office

2019: FSO employees banned from using smartphones in secret work premises

Employees of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation will no longer be able to use mobile devices in premises where secret work is carried out or media constituting state secrets are stored. 2017: Amendments to the FSO Regulation

Communication for government needs

In September 2010, a division of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation announced the results of an open tender for the selection of a telecom operator for the provision of communication channels, trunks and virtual private network services on the MPLS network for state needs.

According to the protocol, only one organization expressed a desire to participate in the auction - the Russian telecommunications operator Rostelecom, which requested 60 million rubles for the implementation of the state contract. - the customer indicated the same amount in the tender notice as the initial value of the contract. The telecom operator will have to provide the customer with digital communication channels with an analog termination with a bandwidth of 64 Kbps (communication channel availability factor not lower than 0.998), digital channels with a bandwidth in the range from 64 to 2048 Kbps (communication channel availability factor not lower than 0.993), as well as virtual private network services on the MPLS network (bandwidth 2048 Kbps; service availability factor not less than 0.995; the percentage of lost packets is not higher than 0.2%; the packet transmission delay is not more than 75 ms; recovery time of service access after a disaster is not more than 3 hours).
