2022: Lukoil acquires 100% stake in Spartak-Moscow and Otkritie Bank Arena football club

In August 2022, it was announced that Lukoil was acquiring a 100% stake in the Spartak-Moscow and Otkritie Bank Arena football club. Leonid Fedun leaves the shareholders of the Spartak football club and will not take part in the management.

2014: Opening of FC Spartak Stadium - Otkritie Arena

The official opening of the home stadium of the Spartak-Moscow football club - Otkritie Arena - took place in early September 2014. It now has a capacity of 42,000 spectators, with capacity rising to 45,000 by the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The concept of cash-free is being implemented in the arena - a zone free of cash. This decision was made taking into account the peculiarities of the operation of football stadiums - sales at them mainly take place within an hour before the start of matches, as well as in between halves. Payment with bank cards allows you to increase the speed of service and, accordingly, the level of customer satisfaction.

At the Otkritie Arena, cards of any banks are accepted for payment, in addition, Otkritie Bank and FC Spartak-Moscow have launched 3 types of cards designed specifically for club fans and visitors to the stadium. One of the types is a fan card, on which subscriptions for Spartak's home matches are sold and which can be used as a regular bank card. Fans of the Spartak football club, when buying a subscription for the new season, are invited to fill out - both at the box office of the stadium and online - a questionnaire for issuing a prepaid replenished card of Otkritie Bank.
