Radio positions itself as an IT company that develops cloud-based solutions to automate sales in the entertainment industry. It collaborates with promoters, artists, theaters, museums and other organizers of events in Russia, the CIS, Europe and the USA (by August 2021).

History

2021: "Кассир.ру" bought 60% Radio

On August 12, 2021, it became known about the sale of 60% of the Radio platform to the ticket operator "Кассир.ру." The terms of the contract provide for an increase in the share to 100% within three years.

Representatives of companies told Kommersant about this deal. The financial terms of the agreement are not disclosed. It is only known that the buyer pays for the transaction by his own means. Radio will retain the team and brand, and the founder of the company Sergey Suchkov will remain its general director.

Кассир.ру acquired 60% of Radio

Кассир.ру CEO Yevgeny Finkelstein, in a conversation with the publication, noted that the takeover of Radio will allow Кассир.ру to increase sales by 30-35%, taking into account the fact that the company's pre-crisis turnover was 13 billion rubles.

Our goal, together with the Radio team, is to exceed the pre-crisis indicators by 40% and achieve a turnover of 25 billion rubles over two years, "he said.

Due to the general decrease in multipliers in the ticket market due to the pandemic, Кассир.ру was able to buy a platform at a lower price, Finkelstein added.

The chief editor of the agency InterMedia Yevgeny Safronov estimated Radio at "several tens of millions of dollars." In his opinion, the deal means the formation of a second market leader along with MTS Entertainment. Now the remaining independent players will be more actively thinking about mergers and acquisitions, Safronov believes. The takeover indicates an acceleration of market monopolization, and the new alliance has prospects to later enter one of the large ecosystems, he added.[1]
