2021: Attracting $200,000 investment

On September 20, 2021, Angelsdeck announced that together with Sergey Chetverikov, the managing partner of YaKlass, the founder of Vesna Investment, they invested in RIFGO, a platform for educational live broadcasts (LMS) with six built-in mechanics for monetizing the audience. The volume of investments amounted to 200 thousand dollars.

As of September 2021, RIFGO is at the MVP stage. The attracted investments are planned to be used to expand the team, develop functionality and test paid channels for attracting content authors in the United States.

RIFGO focuses on the educational segment of creator economy and allows influencers and experts from the complementary education business to broadcast their content in real time and earn money. The service allows you to create videos on the methodology of cohort-oriented training, and also offers a large range of integrated monetization mechanisms such as paywall, author subscription, donates, paid consultations and questions, cross-selling.

According to a research, 50 million people in the world rank itself as creators of content (content creators). The market volume of creator economy is $104.2 billion. More and more bloggers and experts want to monetize their audience not through advertising, but through the sale of educational products. This is also due to the growth of the edtech market, the volume of which, according to HolonIQ forecasts, will amount to $404 billion by 2025.

The idea of the service appeared during the pandemic. The pattern of content consumption has changed, which has become a trigger for the rapid development of edtech projects and, especially, the live segment. Students have already developed a habit of interacting with a teacher online. At the same time, there is not yet a single popular live platform on the market with a focus on education, where the content creator can quickly and easily start teaching and making money from it. And we decided to create such a service, "said Andrei Ilingin, co-founder and CEO of RIFGO.

Services such as RIFGO help shape behaviors both on the part of educational content creators and on the part of consumers. Thus, they combine the best of the creator economy and edtech segments, changing both industries at once. In AngelsDeck we carefully select such projects which, in our opinion, are capable to change consumer behavior in the future for investment and in this regard have the high potential of growth, - Igor Kaloshin commented on the transaction of CEO AngelsDeck.

The RIFGO team creates a versatile tool for audiences who want to do live broadcasts and earn what the market has a request for. If the team manages to make the service useful, effective and simple, then RIFGO will be as popular for content creators as Figma for designers or Miro for managers, "said Anton Agranovsky, president of the investment company Agranovsky IT Investments & Consulting, a member of the AngelsDeck club.

I know Andrei Ilingin well and believe in him. He was one of the leaders in the growth and scaling of the JAClass project (more than 9 million students in 8 countries). With his ambitions and expertise, given that RIFGO is aimed at the education market and that my investment plans for the near future are also concentrated in the EdTech sector, I am pleased with this opportunity, "said Sergey Chetverikov managing partner Jaclass, founder and GP Vesna Investment.
