The ex-head of the Tver region became a co-owner of the Russian Milk agricultural holding

In January 2023, the Debarkader company of the ex-governor of the Tver region Dmitry Zelenin became the winner of the auction for the sale of shares in several structures of the Russian Milk agricultural holding. As Kommersant writes with reference to the register of bankruptcy information, CJSC Vash Financial Trustee, which is associated with the founder of Russian Milk Vasily Brisk and Veliky, was put up for auctions.

As a result of trading, Debarkader will receive more than 19% each in Russian Milk JSC and Kosmodemyansky JSC AGRARIAN AND INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX , about 3% of Raisino JSC, about 17% of Tuchkovsky OJSC and almost 48% of Progress LLC for about 34 million rubles.

Former Governor of the Tver Region Dmitry Zelenin

The second bidder for the sale of shares was Formula Business LLC, which in the reporting of Ruzskoye Milko JSC for 2021 is indicated among the shareholders. However, the agricultural holding told the newspaper that Formula Business is an independent company that has nothing to do with Russian Milk.

The publication clarifies that by January 2023, the Russian Milk company manages 23.5 thousand hectares of agricultural land in the Moscow region, farms for 4 thousand heads and a dairy plant with a capacity of 50 tons of products per day. The assortment includes more than 40 positions under the Ruz Milk brand. Dmitry Zelenin heads the Association of Managers of Russia and is a co-owner of the Tver vegetable producer Sanachino Agro.

According to the source of the publication in the industry, the lands of Russian Milk are located near the borders of the Tver region, which is why Zelenin could be interested in expanding his business. Ilya Zharsky, managing partner of the Veta expert group, says that Debarkader may try to establish control over Russian Milk, but shares in companies will only allow influencing key decision-making.

Streda Consulting CEO Alexei Gruzdev says that Russian Milk can be an attractive asset primarily due to the large volume of land bank and dairy farms, which can probably still be expanded.[1]
