Martynova Elena
Martynova Elena

Biography

As a child, Martynova studied at the famous Moscow music and choir school "Voskhod" (among her classmates was, for example, actor Yevgeny Tsyganov).

"The emphasis was on the choir, three times a week for two to three hours. We even went on tour to the States and recorded the record on "Melodies," - said one of the former students of "Sunrise." Elena, he adds, was "cool" at the time, though a little "humble and squeezed."

After graduating from Moscow State University in the early 2000s, Martynova began to engage in PR. "We met her in the mid-2000s, she was a PR executive at RVVK, which produced Flagship vodka. Lena was very friendly, able to communicate and sharila in the way journalists live. She sent us a five-liter bottle of vodka with a crane to the editorial office, and when this bottle ended, she sent a new one, "says a former employee of the Russian media.

From the very beginning of his career, Martynova had to deal with bosses known for their difficult character. So, one of the places of her work was the Moscow House of Photography (now - Multimedia Art Museum of Moscow, MAMM) - since its foundation it has been headed by art critic Olga Sviblova. An employee of an advertising agency working with MAMM recalls how subordinates had to wait for Sviblov in the office for several hours. "Scheduled for six in the evening, it means that at best they will be accepted by midnight. No one knew, they would go home at night, they would not leave, they would break through to her, they would not break through. Lena was the man who tolerated all Sviblova's quirks. I felt sympathy and sympathy for her, "says an employee of an advertising agency.

2012: Start of work in USM at the invitation of Ivan Streshinsky

In 2012, Martynova began working in the PR department of the USM holding of billionaire Alisher Usmanov - she was invited there by the shareholder and general director of the company Ivan Streshinsky. After joining USM, Martynova became "much more relaxed and confident," recalls an employee of an advertising agency working with MAMM: "We periodically drew to her from the old memory of [Usmanov's] budgets for some cultural activities, she politely listened to us, but this did not lead to anything - we drank tea sweetly and did not receive budgets."

At the new place of work, Martynova was responsible for communicating journalists directly with Alisher Usmanov himself. "She has such a bit of a puppet look, and it can feel like she's, well, a fool. Nothing like that - it is very cunning, very tough and smart, "says a former employee of a Russian business magazine.

Martynov, recall the interlocutors of Meduza (a foreign agent and an undesirable organization in Russia) in the media, followed every word written about the billionaire. "She is one of those rare people who see any ambiguity and can read between the lines," says a journalist who worked with Martynova. - Lena knows how to listen to opponents, but could call me after the publication of the article, for which I took a comment from Usmanov, and say that [in the material] you need to make edits, because "the reader can see the secret meaning in the text." She - not always successfully - managed to convince me of this. "

2015: Marriage to Alexander Tsypkin

Martynova's longtime acquaintance, journalist and writer Mikhail Zygar, calls her "a PR woman from God": "When she is promoting, she does not work, she lives." Thanks to this quality, after several years of work in the PR department, Martynova became deputy general director of the entire holding. From that moment on the parties, remember her acquaintances, she went "on duty," and on birthdays to friends because of great employment could come "twenty minutes."

At one of the parties on "Red October" Martynova approached Zygar with the words: "Meet me, this is my husband, Sasha, he is also a writer, like you. True, few people know about him, because he is from St. Petersburg and has just moved to Moscow. "

This was Elena's first husband, writer Alexander Tsypkin.

Martynova and Tsypkin met at work. He was a PR director at MegaFon's northwest branch. She is his boss. And at least chronologically, Tsypkin's rapid career growth as a writer began after marrying Elena in 2015, an acquaintance of Martynova says neatly.

2017

Usmanov's video as an answer to Navalny's film about Medvedev

In 2017, the video "Ufa on you, Alexei Navalny" appeared, recorded by Alisher Usmanov on his yacht Dilbar. The billionaire published this video in response to Navalny's film "He Is Not Dimon for You," dedicated to Dmitry Medvedev, at that time the Russian Prime Minister (the film claimed that the fund of a former classmate Medvedev received a palace on Rublevka from Usmanov).

The rude and emotional text that Usmanov reads on the video ("You still have to answer in front of me, Lesha," "Your attempts to slander me are Moski's barking at the Elephant," "Ufa to you, Alexei Navalny!") Could be prepared by Usmanov's acquaintance, his non-public consultant, media manager and writer Sergei Minaev, wrote "BBC Russian Service." The fact that Minaev participated in the preparation of the appeal is also said by a Meduza source familiar with the details of the filming of the video. According to him, the text of the appeal was discussed with the general director and shareholder of USM Ivan Streshinsky and with Elena Martynova.

"Minaev was preparing the video in a hurry, as they say," on his knee, "but despite this, Martynova really liked everything," recalls a Meduza source familiar with the details of the filming of the video. "No, I did not prepare [the text of the video message], I have nothing to do with this text. It is difficult for me to imagine that the recording of a short video needed any preparation, "Sergey Minaev objected in correspondence with Medusa. The USM press service declined to comment.

Martynova herself asked familiar journalists not to write about the conflict between her boss and the opposition. According to Ametov, when the news about Navalny's new film and Usmanov's response appeared in The Village, Elena turned to him directly.

"She then asked:" Can you not write about it? "-" No, we cannot, we have an independent editorial policy. " She was like: "Okay, but if the shareholders from the board of directors come to me and put a ban on you [on special projects], then it will be impossible to do anything about it," Ametov recalls their conversation.

Plan to move to Los Angeles

In 2017, at the request of Martynova, her last name and photograph were removed from the article about Alexander Tsypkin published on the Male and Female website.

Later, her interview, published in the heading "This is my city," was removed from Moskvich Mag magazine (that Martynov could insist on deleting the text, two sources in the media market told Meduza; Moskvich Mag magazine declined to comment). In this interview (a saved copy of it is available online) Martynova confessed her love for Los Angeles and said that she was supposed to move to this city in 2017, develop "international projects of the USM holding" - but right before leaving, "as it happens only in the cinema," met her love.

Divorce from Tsypkin and marriage with Yaroslav Dronov

Martynova parted with Tsypkin "by mutual agreement" in 2017, familiar couples told Meduza. Soon Mikhail Zygar began to notice her at parties "with a new young companion."

The writer remembered the first meeting with him in detail: "It was at the party" of the 100 most stylish in GQ magazine 'on the Central Market. 2018. Lena introduces me to Yarik - young, thin, does not yet really understand how to behave. At the same time, Lena, on the contrary, is a socialite, and it can be seen that she is no longer interested, but he is still scared. "

Having barely met, Dronov told Zygar that he was a musician and came to the GQ magazine party with a very specific goal - to listen to his favorite singer: "He said that he came to see how" Artist "works. It felt like he was saying the word with a capital letter. It turned out that this is Liubov Uspenskaya. "

The couple met in 2017 at one of the Moscow corporate parties, where the Rush Hour group performed in front of guests, including Martynova. The lead singer of the group, Elena's friend says, conquered her "at first sight and the first song": "She said that at that moment she realized that in life we had to go only for love."

Elena also liked Yaroslav, his acquaintance says: "After the corporate party, she wrote to him. They made friends on social media. " By that time, the musician had already parted with his first wife, Marina Roshchupkina, a teacher of folk and pop vocals from Novomoskovsk. "The story of [Yaroslav and Elena] spun exactly the same as that of thousands of other musicians who find life partners at their own concerts," says Dronov's acquaintance. Soon, he adds, the singer moved to Martynova's apartment in the very center of Moscow. The fact that the couple's relationship developed quickly was also told by the musician himself.

Dronov began to come to corporate parties by taxi or Maybach with a driver, recalls a longtime acquaintance of Yaroslav (later luxury cars were added to the singer's concert rider). But despite the changes in life, he "remained as simple as he was": leaving Maybach, the future Shaman said goodbye to the driver in a friendly way and went to sing for customers, says the singer's acquaintance.

Elena Martynova, who wanted her husband to become famous, remained true to herself. "I immediately realized that she was not happy with her at all, that Yarik was singing around restaurants with a cover band," says an acquaintance of Dronov. "Apparently, she began to tell him: you deserve more, better."

Martynova, continues the interlocutor of Meduza, "constantly tried to drive a wedge" between the participants of Rush Hour. In an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda, the director of the group, Alexei Demin, argued that she set "some incredible conditions" - for example, give more than half of the fee to Dronov, and not share what she earned equally between the entire team. Demin, like other members of the team, declined to comment on Meduse.

Probably, Dronov decided to leave the group precisely because of Martynova. Two acquaintances of the artist recall that this happened after Elena arrived at the Rush Hour event without an invitation at the end of 2017. Although the organizers and guests reacted to the sudden visit with understanding, some members of the group did not like the incident, an acquaintance who shared with Yaroslav says: "It was an easy conflict, but a few days later Yarik wrote to the guys that everything. Apparently, he was very offended. "

In November 2017, just a few months after they met, Dronov and Martynova got married.

After leaving "Rush Hour," Dronov focused on a solo career under the name Shaman. "His first tracks in solo swimming are such a hookah rap," said Demin, who continued to follow the artist on social networks. Now only part of the recordings of those years can be found on Dronov's YouTube channel - several author's tracks and a cover of Maxim Fadeev's song "Dancing on Glass" (he has more than 68 million views).

At the same time, Dronov, as before, performed at corporate parties and closed events, recalls a producer who worked with the singer. According to him, Dronov's fee as a solo artist was much less than that of the group - about 130-150 thousand rubles.

The lack of popularity, the singer himself later frankly told in an interview, influenced his relationship with his wife. "She would come and tearfully tell me everything [how her acquaintances don't believe in my success]," he recalled. "I said, 'Nothing, let's break through'."

According to sources of the msk1.ru website, at that moment Martynova directly participated in the promotion of her husband (he repeatedly denied this). She consulted with familiar major media managers and asked them to "promote" Dronov, says a Meduza source in the media market.

"Lena wanted to make Yarik a star," the singer's acquaintance believes. "Yarik was worthy of it." A friend of Martynova says the same: "Lena believed that she had a rare quality - to see talent in a person. She was telling me, "I'm going to make a star out of him. You will also see him, you will also recognize him, he is really hellishly talented '. " Another friend of Elena clarifies that "Yarik's success" was important to Martynova, but she "considered his talent so bright" that "fame should have come to him herself."

Elena Martynova with her husband Yaroslav Dronov

Elena Martynova is now responsible for her husband's stage image and is choosing a wardrobe for him, her friend claimed in 2024. Two more interlocutors of Meduza say that she accompanies the singer to work meetings in media holdings and on the radio. And the domain of the singer's official website was connected with Martynova's mail - elena.martynova@gmail.com.

Elena Martynova still tries to go to all her husband's concerts and "treats his work with great respect," says her former colleague.
